Chapter 10

Overlord's pov

"Enough!" I yelled, everyone now looking me. I walked closer to the small group, my human form fading away. Darkness sounded me, as I grew closer. Fear filled the girl's face and Jay got between me and his two friends. "You will not hurt them!" He shouted, the words echoing throughout the room.

"Jay get away. I do not want to hurt you." My raspy voice returned, I was in my normal form. "No! I won't allow you to  hurt them more!" He screamed, backing up. I scowled and continued to walk forward.

"Please..... don't do this....." He begged, his eyes tearing up. I froze where I stood, staring at Jay. "I'm sorry....." shock showed on his face as I pushed him out of the way. Luckily, he was caught by two of my stone warriors before he could hit the floor.

"NO!" He screamed as I went to the girl and the white ninja. I went up to grab the girl's neck, but she was pushed out of the way and my wrist was grabbed by the white ninja. Even though he was injured, he actually started to fight. He tried to kick me, but I blocked, only to have my helmet punched.

I then picked him up by his neck, he started to squirm, causing him to be in more pain. "You idiot. You are just causing yourself to be in more pain." My laugh echoed through the room as I held him high. I started to tighten my grip around his neck, which would choke a human. But instead, made dents in his actually metal neck.

Jay's pov

I couldn't take it anymore. Watching this caused my heart to ache. This is all my fault. Zane wouldn't be in this situation, Nya would be my fiancé, and the Overlord would not be part of this mess. But in reality.... I was getting held back by stone warriors. Zane was getting choked. And Nya was getting held down by random villains.

A sigh escaped my lips. Tears rolled down my cheeks. This was never meant to happen, but I guess it was destiny. I was destined to be with Overlord, if I like it or not. Stupid people in Cloud Kingdom, why make me have to marry the one man who I once hated....

My heart started to ache. My mind started to tell me something. I was warming up to him. He would've killed me on the spot. But here I am, still alive.... An idea came in mind. An idea that would save Zane and Nya from all this trouble.

"OVERLORD STOP!" I screamed, getting everyone's attention. "What is it my little blue jay?" Overlord asked, still holding Zane high in the air. My lung filled with air, then my voice filled the sudden silence. "I love you. I will marry you. I do. These last few days have taught me you can be a good guy when there is love in your life. So please, let them go and I'll marry you. I will be forever yours." I went to my knees, and stared at the floor.

Not a sound was made. Everyone stayed silent. It was so silent that if a paper clip was dropped, you could probably hear it. A thump echoed through the room, making me look up a little. Zane was now on the floor, coughing. Overlord's steps grew louder as he came closer. He lifted my chin and he was human again.

"Do you mean it?" He asked softly. My head slowly went up and down. Tears were running down my cheeks as my eyes locked with his red ones. His lips formed a small smile. "Do you, Jay Walker, want to take me as your lawfully wedded husband?" Overlord asked softly. His voice was soothing, calming me. A small smile appeared on my face.

Out of the corner of my eye, Nya looked heartbroken. She started to cry a little, knowing what my answer would be. "I do." Nya looked at floor, now on her knees, crying. The Overlord and I exchanged rings and then he pulled me into a kiss.

Nya's pov

While Jay and the Overlord were kissing, the people holding me down dragged me and Zane out of the place. "See ya!" They laughed as the entrance to Overlord's house closed. We were back in the alley, but not with Jay. We have failed.... Jay is forever gone.... More tears started to run down my cheeks, falling to the ground below.

I felt an arm go around me, an ice cold one. I looked over to see Zane, then got him in a hug. He winced in pain but soon hugged back. "I'm so sorry about making you go through all that pain for what I want." I sobbed into his shoulder. His cold fingers ran through my naughty hair as he held me close with his other arm, which was around me.

"It's ok..." He whispered while I cried. He was stabbed over and over again, choked, and thrown. None of this wouldn't have happened if I didn't drag him with me. "Nya, at least we know that we tried to save him. But he seems happy with his choice. He may have left the team, but at least we know he is happy." I smiled. The fact that Jay is happy makes me happy.

I noticed his eyes started to close, which made fear wash over me. "No. Zane..." My tears returned as I held him close. "I'm not dying. Just tired." I smiled and started to fall asleep as well. But before I actually fall asleep, I helped Zane over to a corner of the alley, which was where we both fell asleep... not caring about the trash.

Overlord's Pov

I carried Jay to my room, bridal style. Once in, he hit the open door with his foot and closed it and I set him in bed. A large smile was plastered on his face, and I knew it was real. I sat down on my bed and took off my shoes took my tie off. Jay did the same.

He took the suit off and threw on jeans and a blue hoodie. "I'm going to enjoy being yours." He said calmly, laying on my lap. I ran my pale fingers through his hair and smiled. This was real love.... and I loved it. He went up and kissed me passionately on the lips and wrapped his arms around my neck. I soon kissed back and held him close.

He pulled away and locked eyes. "I love you." I said, smiling. He smiled and kissed me on the cheek.
"I love you too."
