At first the only sounds you could hear were the soft pats of your bare feet against the wooden ground. As you slowly approached the library, candle in hand, soft snores became audible.

"Lu Xun! Not again..."
The young man had fallen asleep at the desk, parchment scrolls scattered all about, over the table and at his feet. His fingertips were smudged with ink, a couple smears left on his chin and cheeks.

You shake your head disappointedly, poking his cheek in an attempt to wake him up.
"Psst...Hey. You fell asleep in the library honey, let's get you to bed, okay?"
Lu Xun stirs in his sleep for a moment before opening his eyes a crack.
"Mmn...Sorry (Y/N)..."
"Shhh...Come on dear, let me help you to bed."

Lu Xun holds his arms out to you like a child wanting to desperately be held, eyes tired and expression pouty. You slowly help him up, kicking some scrolls to the side. He loops an arm around your shoulders and you reciprocate the action around his waist. This isn't the first time this has happened. Almost 2 or 3 times a week is the normal for the two of you. He'd fall asleep in the library, studying or working, and you'd force him to sleep in an actual bed once you found him.

"Thank you..." He mumbles into your hair, nuzzling gently. Normally he's not one for public displays of affection, but when he's dead tired or alone, he's nothing but sickeningly intimate with you.

"It's nothing, I-"
"Just thank you. For being mine. You are...More than kind, more than brave, more than beautiful...More than I've asked for," Lu Xun murmurs in his sleep.

"I don't deserve you," he claims. "But thank you...For choosing me." You giggle and shake your head. Finally reaching his room, you slide open the door and close it behind you with your foot. Setting the candle down on his desk, you begin to undress Lu Xun, who lets you do as you please. The moment you force his toned arms through the sleeves of his sleeping robes, he collapses into bed, pulling the sheets up to his chin. Smiling warmly at your precious lover, you kiss him softly on the forehead and ruffle his hair goodnight.

His hand darts out at the last second to grab your wrist.
"Don't go..." He groans.
The desperation in his voice makes you weak, so you quickly climb into bed with him. Lu Xun doesn't waste any time in pulling you against him and pressing sloppy kisses against your temple and cheeks.

"Thank you..."
"...And goodnight."
