Chapter 4-Birthday Girl

My mum woke me up the day before my birthday. Everything was usual. I got ready and went downstairs. My mum was cooking pancakes.
-Mmm... It smells good-I said.
Tess was already awake and she was sitting on the sofa, waiting for pancakes.
-How are you, Tess?-I asked her.
-Very well-she replied- And how do you feel about your birthday?
-I have no idea, what I'll do tomorrow-I told Tess.
My mum finished cooking and we had a breakfast. After that Alex stopped the car in front of my house and we went to school. School was crowded as usual. We entered in our English class. I was going to sit on my place, when I noticed it was already taken. There was a girl, with black hair and brown eyes.
-Hello-I told her-Excuse me, but this is my place.
-Oh, really? I'm sorry I didn't know.-She told me and stood up.
-Thanks,-I smiled-What's your name?
-Victoria
-I am Lisa, can I call you Tori?
-Of course-She smiled-And can I sit with you at lunch?
-It would be great-I told her and sat, because teacher entered.

Cafeteria was very crowded. Alex and I were buying our lunch, when Victoria called me.
-Hey, Lisa. Where are we sitting?-She asked me.
Alex looked at me confused.
-She will be with us today.-He didn't seem very happy, so I added-She's new.
-Fine-Alex said.
We all sat. No one was talking. So I decided to be the first.
-Well, how was your day?-I asked Tori.
-Not bad-She smiled.
The lunch went on silently again. It was very annoying, because Alex and I were talking always, but he was very quiet now. Well I tried to make them talk once again.
-Alex, you were acting really polite today.-I told him with laughter-Are you all right?
-Yes.-He answered shortly.
After that, none of us tried to talk.

-You are rude with her!-I told Alex, when he was taking me home.
-Why do I have to be polite with her?-He asked.
-Well, she's new and she seems to be a good girl.
-C'mon Lis(He had never called me that before)! You don't know her. You had to be with her longer to invite at our lunch table.
-Oh, really? I think you should remember, that we became friends in one day.
-It's different.
-Not at all!-I said angrily.
-Well, okay, I'll be nicer, but only for you-He said.
I didn't say a word. I was still very angry.
-Oh, c'mon Lisa! Are you going to be angry because of this stupidity?
I was still quiet.
-Please, Lis!
-Oh shit! Don't call me that!
-Why? You can't be upset when you are called like that, can you?- He smirked.
-Who told you that?
-Katherine. So will you forgive me?
-Fine, but be nice.
-Okay
-Thank you-I told him.
He stopped his car in front of my house after 2 minutes.
-Well, what are you going to do tomorrow?-He asked me.
-OMG! You know!-I said surprised.
-Of course, I know, I'm your friend.-He smiled.
-Well, to tell the truth, I have no idea!-I said worried.
-Really?-Now Alex was very surprised.
-Yes, but I'm turning 16 tomorrow and I really want it to be memorable.
-Will you let me make your birthday?
-You don't have to do it.
-I know, but I want to-He smiled.
-Okay, then. But remember, I don't want a big party, because I don't have friends.
-What? And who do you think I am?-Alex asked me surprisingly.
-Well, I said I don't have friends, but I never said I don't have best friend-I chuckled.
-Okay, then-Alex chuckled too.

I was laying, when my sister and mother jumped in my room and started singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG" exactly at 12am. I was so happy, I was finally 16 years old.
-Happy birthday sis-Tess hugged me and give me a little present. I opened it. It was very lovely picture of me. I don't know how, but Tess was always taking the best photos.
-Oh, Tess! It's beautiful-I smiled and hugged her again.
-No it's you beauituful.
-Oh, stop it! I'll blush-I laughed.
-Happy 16th birthday my lovely girl!-Mom came to kiss me and she gave me a present. When I opened it, I saw the black leather jacket and black trousers. I liked it very much.
-Thanks mom-I hugged her too.
-Well, sweetie, it may not be the best gift for you now, but soon you will like it more.-She winked me.
I looked at her so surprised. I couldn't understand what she was saying.
-What do you mean?
-Nothing sweetie-She smiled, I felt that she wasn't telling me something, but decided to ask her about it lately.

I opened my eyes. I was so excited, because my birthday was on Saturday. I got up and decided to dress casual. I went downstairs after I got ready, with a big smile on my face. I WAS 16!!! My mum made pancakes for me.
-Well, your birthday cake will be released late. when Alex shows you his surprise.
-Oh, really?-I asked with smiling.
-Yes-She smiled too.-he is really good boy.
-Of course, he can't be my friend otherwise-I smirked.
We all had breakfast together. Then I went upstairs, because I decided to watch "Harry Potter". After I finished it, I decided to went downstairs again and I saw...
-OMG!!! It's AMAZING!-I screamed.
The whole house was full of decorations, there were my pictures, posters, "Happy Birthday" decorations, balloons, etc. Alex was standing beside my mom. When he heard my scream, he looked at me and smiled.
-Happy Birthday bestie!-He told me.
-Thank you, very much!-I told him and hugged.
-It isn't everything, I have a present-And with these words he gave me something. This present was very heavy. I started opening it and felt a little movement. I continued opening and I saw a little gold ear first. IT WAS DOG!
-OMG!-I screamed-Is this labrador? Is it mine?
-Yes-He smiled.
Tess ran to me:
-Please, let me hold him. It's boy, right?
-Yes-Alex answered.
-Thank you, very much-I hugged him.
-And it isn't everything still-Alex smirked-In 2 hours you are having a party.
-Excuse me?-I asked.
-Listen, don't be mad, you will like it, promise.
-Okay, let's see.

I was in my room. Trying to choose what to wear. But it was going very bad.
-Oh, shit!-I shouted, when I didn't find anything after 1 hour choosing.
-Hey, sweetie. I have something for you-I heard mother's voice and turned around.
She was holding very beautiful black dress.
-It's for you, go , try it on.
I dressed and went to look in the mirror.
-Oh god, it's amazing!-I told mum.
-You are very beautiful-She smiled.
Mom curled my hair and then we went downstairs. Alex was sitting on the sofa. He was playing with Tess and my new dog.
-You look great-Tess and Alex told me at the same time.
-Thanks-I smiled at them and blushed a bit.
-What is his name?-He pointed at dog.
-Dobby.-I answered.
-Dobby? Like an elf Dobby?-Alex asked surprised.
-Yes, but I never knew you liked "Harry Potter".
-Yeah-He answered.
After 10 minutes bell rang. People started coming. I didn't even know the most of them, but they were wishing me happy birthday and giving me presents. DJ came and everyone started dancing.
-Hey, happy birthday!-Victoria called me.
-Hey, thanks Tor-I replied.
We started dancing together. I couldn't dance well, but I didn't give it a shit. I was very happy. Then I decided to find Alex.
-I don't even know how to thank you!!!-I told him and hugged him again.
-You don't need to-He smiled-I am so happy when you are happy too.
-You are the bestest friend ever, I'm glad I helped you that day!
-Me too-He answered.
Then we started daincing. Alex was a good dancer. My mother was so happy about me. Everyone was spending time happily. I looked over, I didn't know this people, but they were making me happy now. I couldn't help smiling widely, because my birthday was perfect!
When everyone went, I thanked Alex once again for everything.
-Well, if you don't stop thanking me I will get angry- He chuckled.
-Okay!
He went out with smile and there were only Mum, Tess and I left again.
-Mum, it was the best birthday ever.
-I'm very happy you liked it-She smiled happily.
-Oh, mum I'm so tired, can I go to sleep now?-I unexpectedly felt very exhausted.
-Of course, sweetie. Go!
I tried on my pajamas and looked in the mirror. I saw the similar face, there was a girl with brown hair and brown, shiny eyes with her wide smile. She was very familiar, but there was something different, something strange...
