I felt my eyes flutter open, and I sat up rubbing them. I look around, absorbing the sunlight from the window.
I sighed and swung my legs over the bed. Or at least I tried. Something was holding onto my waist.
I turn around to see Otabek, gripping my firmly around my waist, his cheeks pressed up against my back. I quickly turn back, not wanting to look at him. There goes that fluttering feeling again....
I try to loosen his grip on me, but his hold isn't budging at all. I really didn't want to wake him, especially with the situation I was in.
Then, I noticed a way I could get past his Hulk-like hold. I saw that I could possibly slip out of his grip. I smirked at my idea and began to slip out of his arms.
As I was slipping, I felt Otabek grab my shirt.
"Shit..." I whispered.
I carefully slipped out of the shirt, and out of his arms. I threw my arms up in the are and did some sort of a victory dance, until I fell out of bed. I also made a loud noise while falling out of bed, causing Otabek to wake up.
"Hmmm... What's going on?" He asked. He suddenly looked at me and notices that my shirt was off and that he was holding it.
"Why are you shirtless?" he asks curiously.
"Because I want to be shirtless." I growl.
He just stares at me up and down, then throws the shirt at me. "You should get dressed..." he mumbled.
I nodded as he left the room. After he closed the door, I grabbed a pillow, and screamed into it. Why did I have too always put myself in some awkward positions... First, crying in front of him cause he LOVED someone, now saying I wanted to be shirtless. Why do I do this....
I quickly changed into some clean clothes, and walk out of my room. Otabek was in the kitchen making some food.
"What are you making?" I asked him.
"Something.... I don't know..." he sighed.
I shrugged my shoulders, and walked over to the couch, and turned the television on.
A couple minutes later, Otabek sat next to me on the couch. He was holding a plate.
"Thanks," I say reaching over to the plate, but he pulled it away from me.
"What the hell?! Just give me my damn breakfast!" I say reaching for it.
"I'll give it to you when you tell me your secret."
I froze. He still remembered the promise. I was hoping that he would just drop it, but I was wrong.
"Like I said last night, I don't have any secrets! Now give me the damn food!" I yelled, grabbing at the plate that was just out of my reach.
"You hesitated. I know you have a secret. We made a promise, and I was hoping you wouldn't break it." he smirks.
"You can barely call what happened last night a promise! I didn't have any secrets, so that's why I didn't go first!" I spat.
He just kept his little grin on his face. He leans in, his face just inches from mine. I could feel my heart this time just go crazy, and my body felt like jelly.
"Just tell me your secret Yuri." he says looking into my eyes.
"I, uh. Um, ah." I didn't know what to say. I was completely in a trance. I could stare into his brown eyes forever.
"You okay Yuri?" he asks.
I just sat there for a minute. I looked at my lap, building up the little bit of bravery I had in me. I then looked up at him.
"I don't know how to describe this feeling..." I mumble.
He looked at me a bit confused. "Feeling?"
"I just feel weird around you... Like my heart starts to beat fast, and just a simple touch of your hand makes me feel like jello..." I say embarrassed.
Otabek doesn't say anything and just keeps looking at me.
"You really feel that way around me?" he asks.
I nodded my head. "I'm sorry if it's a little weird."
He shakes his head. "Not at all. I find it normal."
I stare at him. Normal? What does he mean by normal?
"Normal..." I sigh.
Otabek looks into my eyes, and I feel his hand touch my cheek. I lean into his hand, and he starts to hold my head. He smirks a bit.
We just continued to look at each other. I didn't want to stop. His face was just so handsome. He glowed in the morning light. He just looked perfect.
Wait. That's what people say when they love someone. Did I love Otabek?
I lifted my cheek out of his palm. I looked at the ground. "I should go practice today. Yakov wanted me to work on my jumps..."
"How about I tag along today...." he starts.
"No, no. You're fine. I'd rather go alone." I stand up and get my things together.
"I'll see you when I get home..." I say, getting ready to leave.
"Yeah, I'll see you." he replies.
I walk out the door and happily close it. I start to jog towards the rink, hoping I would see Victor and pork cutlet bowl. Maybe they can help me a little with this....
