Elizabeth looked out to the water again, after hearing the lecture from the commodore and her father. She didn't really care, pirates still fascinated her. When she looked at the water, there was something there. It was... wood? Yes wood, from a boat. She looked up a little, there were two people in the water.
"Look, look, there's a girl and a boy in the water!" She yelled.
The commodore looked for himself.
"Man overboard!" He yelled.
There was a flurry of action. Elizabeth looked farther out into the water. There was the wreckage of a boat, it was in blown apart and pieces of it were on fire.
Elizabeth didn't get what was happening then, but the next thing she knew her father was talking to her and they were bringing the two people on board.
"Elizabeth, I want you to look after them, they are your responsibility now," he said and she nodded.
The men holding the two people set them down on some boxes and Elizabeth walked over. They looked similar, they both had dark hair but the boys was black and the girls was a dark brown. The boy woke up suddenly and scared her a little.
"It's okay, your safe. I'm Elizabeth Swann," she said.
"Will Turner. My sister, where is she? Is she okay?" He asked.
"She's fine. Im going to take care of you both," Elizabeth said.
He looked relieved, and laid back down. Elizabeth noticed something around the girls neck. A medallion? Yes it was, a gold medallion. With a pirates symbol. She looked closer at the medallion and took it in her hand. The commodore and some men came up behind her. She jumped, took the medallion on its chain in her hand and turned around.
"The boys name is Will Turner, and that's his sister. That's all I found out."
The commodore shouted some orders at the other men and they took the two siblings below deck. Elizabeth looked at the medallion again. When she looked up again there was a ship with black sails sailing away.
Years later
Haly Turner woke up from the dream. She'd never had it like that, with the time before Elizabeth knew them. And she never had the medallion, that was her older brother Will's. And he lost that medallion when the boat was destroyed.
"Haly! You need to get up!" Will yells.
She sighed, "I'm up, I'm up!"
Haly got out of her bed and got dressed. She toyed with the thought of not putting on a corset, but then figured if she was caught without it, it wouldn't be good for her.
"Will! Can you help me with this torture device?" Haly yelled through the door as she struggled to get the corset on.
Will laughed as he walked through the door.
"Torture device? Come on they can't be all that bad?"
"Well when you can't breathe because it's the fashion let me know," she said while rolling her eyes.
He laughed some more and helped her with the corset. She then pushed him out of the room so he could go to work and she could finish getting ready.
Although it didn't make a difference if she looked good or not. Almost everyone else would be going to the ceremony for Noringtons premonition. Well everyone except her and Will. There was no point, it was just a silly ceremony. Plus they had work to do.
Haly pulled a red dress on and quickly did something with her mess of dark brown curls. When she walked out of her room she saw a note from Will.
'Left to present the sword to governor Swann, I will see you soon. Don't let Jasper give you a hard time, love Will.'
Haly sighed when she saw the note. She didn't need reminding of the fool who thought he loved her, Jasper. Jasper Williams, was a guard in the kings navy and helped protect the governors household. True he was a great match for Haly, everyone thought so, but Haly couldn't stand him. And Jasper's constant tries to make her fall for him were driving her mad.
Deciding she'd wasted enough time she left the house. She headed over to the forgery. When she went inside she noticed that it looked like Will had already been there for a few hours. 'He stayed here and kept working. He's going to get himself killed one of these times,' she thought.
The old blacksmith was drunk, again, and now sleeping it off. Haly barely noticed, this was normal to her and Will. The only time she did notice was when the man was awake and lucid. Which was rare.
Haly grabbed some of the equipment she needed to clean, grabbed what she needed and started cleaning. An hour or so later there was a rattling of the door.
"Finally, it took you long enough to get back," she said and looked up.
But she didn't see Will. Instead she saw a man with what looked like brown dreadlocks, a red bandanna, and other things that made Haly nervous. She also saw a girl, really close to her age, with long blonde hair and the same kind of look that made Haly nervous. 'Oh shoot, what happened. This isn't going to end well.'
