Two Feyre chapters in a row because, well just because.

"You say you're here to listen to us." my father says.

"Yes". My voice doesn't waver, doesn't shake. I make sure of that.

"Then hear us now." says one of the men beside my father, an old, grizzled man. "Bring back the girls you stole from us and we will go."

My breath leaves my chest. "Your girls?" I say, trying to buy myself some time.

"My daughters" my father says, his voice choked "Nesta and Elain."

"I know them" I say, "But why would I bring them to you?"

"Because," says the old man, "If you don't we march on your damn land and we destroy you all. Starting with you"

And as soon as he's finished a man wraps me from behind with a chain. "That's iron you bitch" he whispers in my ear.

I clench my teeth, and a moment later the iron is lying on the ground, a melted heap. "Mm. Well I suppose nobody happened to mention that iron has no real effect on the fae."

I smirk slightly at the shocked looks on the faces all around me. "Now" I say, "let's discuss this like civilized people. I will bring your girls here, but I have two conditions. The first is that they will have the choice of who to return home with. If they choose me than you cannot fight it. If they choose you I cannot fight it. The second is that when they are here you will owe me the answer to two questions of my choosing. You may not lie. Do you agree?"

There is hesitation in the faces of the two strange men and the gathered villagers, but my father doesn't hesitate for even a moment. "Yes." he says.

I close my eyes and reach for my bond with Rhys. He answers almost immediately. What is it?

Bring Elain and Nesta. Tell them not to say anything except the hellos. And cover their ears.

I cut off the connection before he can reply. A moment later he's standing beside me in the snow, my hooded sisters on either arm.

I see them both freeze as they take in the situation, as they see my father standing before them. "Papa?" Elain asks, her voice soft. then her eyes fall on the men beside him "Grayson?"

Ah. If the younger man is Elain's fiancee, the older must be his father. Elain runs forward and launches herself into our father's arms. He is crying openly, tears streaming down his face. Then she turns to her fiancee and looks at him cautiously. I can't even imagine how odd this must be for her. Looking through fae eyes at her fae hating fiancee.

Nesta is standing stock still, I can't even tell if she's breathing. But at least she isn't giving me away, giving our secrets away. My father looks at me over Elain's hair. "You said you had two questions for me. Ask."

I'm a little taken aback, but I nod. "Do you mean harm to our land? Will you go peacefully now?"

My father nods, but Grayson's father clears his throat. "Why should we? You took our girls, who knows what you've been doing to them. By all rights we should kill you all."

Rhys beside me smiles. "I'd like to see you try."

He is radiating power, darkness rolling off him in waves. "Oh you don't want to try me pretty boy" says Grayson's father.

Suddenly Elain reaches out an arm. "Please Milord. We are unharmed. I wish to see no bloodshed here."

The old man's eyes soften as they rest on my sister's face. "For you my dear, the stars." he says.
