Chapter 5

  Maria has finally given birth to her baby. Turns out the baby was female and Maria grew attached to her the first time she saw her. Maria holds her baby and smiles.

"What should I name you? Yuoshoka, Yuoshoka will be your name."

Yuoshoka didn't stay a baby for long though, by September 29th, Yuoshoka was already 10 in a half years old. Yuoshoka was playing with a tiger when her mother called out to her.

"Yuoshoka,food is here!"

Yuoshoka rode the tiger toward her mother happily,ready to devour whatever was on her plate.

"Comimg mommy!" Yuoshoka said with a watery mouth, by just thinking about what could be there to eat.

When Yuoshoka reaches her mother, Maria doesn't notice the creature she's riding on,until she fully turns around with a plate in hand. Maria jumps from the huge animal.

  "YUOSHOKA, I've told YOU time and TIME again,  NO riding the ANIMALS around the LAB. You could hurt YOURSELF and the ANIMALS around you."

Yuoshoka looks down and pouts. Her mother has told her not to ride the animals, but she couldn't help but feel a connection toward the animals. Almost as if she was one of them all at the same time.

Yuoshoka could never figure out why she felt this way, most NORMAL humans would be afraid of the wild animals, but not her.

  The animals obeyed her,  understood her, talked to her. Yes, yes this sounds crazy, but the animals really did talk to her. They talked to her and she talked back. They listened to her and she listened back.
The animals comforted her whenever she had a bad dream, and even when she was upset or lonely.
"Don't worry Yuoshoka, everything will be alright."  The animals would say to her.
These animals were her family,  she just knew it.

"I'm sorry mommy, I'll try not to do it again, I promise."

Maria sighs but smiles at her Yuoshoka. She can't help but be attached to her after all,no matter how heartless a female could be,once she becomes a mother she automatically changes.Even if she didn't want to.

  "It's alright sweetie, just be careful okay, mommy  worries about you."
Yuoshoka looks up at her mother and nods her head in understanding. Then she remembered the medicine her mother always gave her before she ate.

"Mommy?" Maria looks down at her daughter in acknowledgement.

"Yes sweetie?"

Yuoshoka looks down and fiddles with her fingers.  Maria notices this and gets annoyed.

  <"I already know what she's going to ask, she fiddles with her fingers every time she ask that dreadful question. ">

"Umm mommy?"

"Yes sweetie, what is it?" Maria says in a sweet caring motherly tone.

"Do I really have to take the medicine today,I mean  I've been taking it for a long while now.Can't I skip taking it just for today?"

   Maria twitches a brow in annoyance. Why must she be the bad guy in this situation? Why couldn't someone else give her the (medicine ) as she had told Yuoshoka it was.?

" No sweetie, this medicine is for your health."

Yuoshoka stares at her mother quizzically.She sees a hint of something in her mother's eyes. She doesn't know what it is but whatever it is, she doesn't want to be introduced to it. Maria stretches her hand out impatiently to Yuoshoka.

"Now, hand me your arm sweetie."

Yuoshoka hesitantly gives Maria her arm, and looks away from her.

Maria grabs the needle off the side table and proceeds to shoot the (medicine) into Yuoshoka's arm. Yuoshoka flinches from the pinch,and hisses like the tiger she'd been playing with earlier.

"Now,now." Her mother said.
 
"It'll only last for a moment."

Yuoshoka remembered those words from somewhere, but where. A TV show,a movie, a book maybe.No, none of those. It was her mother's voice she heard it from, she was certain of it.
