It's summer in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the one thing on Alex MaGee's mind is to find her mother. Alex's mother has been missing for 3 months leaving her and her father devastated.
Alex soon hears about this forsaken town called Mystic Falls, where people often disappear to, thinking her mother must be there. So Alex being the adventurous girl she is; sets off with two other friends to Mystic Falls on hoping to find her mother.
But little does Alex know that's she'll be discovering more than just her mother's disappearance.
