I groaned while reaching for my phone. I grabbed it and swiped the alarm off. I forgot to turn it off.

"Alex I'm going to work now! I brought donuts for breakfast!" Dad shouted from downstairs.

"Okay, thanks, have a great day!"

"You too." He said back before I heard a door shut.

I hesitantly got out of bed and walked downstairs into the kitchen. I grabbed a chocolate covered donut and walked into the living room. I sat down on the couch and began watching the Rachel Ray show.

Ring Ring! Ring Ring!

I checked the time 8:30 am and groaned. Who could be calling this early?!

I rushed back upstairs grabbing my phone before checking the caller ID, which read Matt.

I slightly smile and answer it.

- Hey pizza master, what's up?
- Nothing really hotshot just woke up.
- And you called me?
- yes why not call my best friend Alex this morning to get on her nerves
- (I chuckled) well that's surely what you did, but it's fine cause I have donuts, loser
- really? Lucky! Guess who's coming over!
- Matt do n- (he hangs up)

I click my phone off and rush to my closet. I grab my black leggings, black V neck shirt and some white footies. I quickly changed and took my hair down from the ponytail.

I walked back downstairs with my phone this time and sat down on the couch.

Beep!

I checked my phone and saw I had a text message. I opened it and read it.

What strange places our lives can carry us to, what dark passengers. Mystic Falls will be waiting for you, Alex.

I read the caller ID: F.Q.

Oh my gosh! This better be a fucking... this is just totally creepy now.

Bang! Bang!

I jumped so high that I fell off of the couch. The banging on the door startled me.

"Who is it?" I ask still on the floor. "The tooth princess, who else." Matt, smartly, says.

I quickly get up and pace my breathing. I walk over to the door and open it. "It's actually the tooth fairy." I corrected, making him roll his eyes. I move aside to let him in and closed the door.

"Where da donuts at?" He asks. I point to the kitchen where he quickly dashes into.

I just can't form in my mind, who F. Q. could be. I mean I know no one with those initials.

"Alex, could I have some of your Sunny D?!" Matt shouts from the kitchen. "Sure." I said sitting down on the couch.

I have to find out somehow... I wonder if I should ask Matt about it. Maybe he's been getting these clues too.

"Rachel Ray really? You clearly have no taste." Matt says taking a seat beside me with a sprinkle covered donut and a glass of sunny d.

I shrug "What can I say, I'm not a morning person." I state leaning back into the couch.

"Are you feeling okay Alex?" Matt asks taking a bite of his donut. I nod "Yeah, just fine. How about you?" I ask. He shrugs "The usual." He says leaning back into the couch too.

Oh my gosh! He's so beautiful! I've had a crush on Matt since the 9th grade, and we're juniors now. It's just his blonde hair, blue eyes, cute little dimple he has when he smiles.

"Earth to Alex! Hola!" Matt says waving a hand in front of my face. I embarrassingly turn to the tv instead of looking at his face.

Looney Tunes.. was on my television screen.

I turn to look at Matt. "You're amazing." I say with a wink. He winks back "I know."

"No you're cheating!" I shout as Matt spends the colorful wheel. "How! And left hand on green." He says.

Yup! We're playing twister! How cliché.

I reach for green and successfully make it while Matt starts wiggling.

"Hey you're over my body, don't you dare fall!" I sternly say. Matt let's out a chuckle that made me bubbly on the inside.

"Sure thing Ms. Take My Body."  He states. I scrunched my eyebrows "Ms. Take your body?"

Then just when I least expected it, Matt fell on me sending me to the floor. I groan "You're a cheating loser." I stated.

"Oops, my foot slipped." He sarcastically said.

His body began to crush me. "Okay, up! Get up now, I'm dying asswipe." I barely get out.

Matt hesitantly gets off me and I spring up from the floor.

"Yes- Ow!" I say clutching my back. Matt quickly stands and helps me to the couch.

He has a smirk on his face the whole time "I hate you, when I get older I don't want you anywhere near me." I say making him smile.

"I'll be around you everyday, because we'll be there for each other like that." He says walking back to the game.

Ring! Ring!

"Alex your phone!" Matt loudly shouts. I sighed "Matt I'm in the living room too." I stated. "Oh yeah, sorry." He apologizes.

"Anyway, who's calling?" I ask.

"Unknown." Matt says looking at me confused. My eyes get big as I look back at him.
