Yuuri was walking through the market in town, picking up ingredients for tonight's dinner. Usually, he enjoyed going out and seeing the people there and seeing some friendly faces. But now, every time he went out, it reminded him of the night before.
He grabbed the last bits of what he needed and headed on back to his home. While checking if he got everything he ran into a very hard surface.
"Watch where you're going shithead? What are you blind?"
"Well, technically, Yes I am." Yuuri said, looking up to see who he ran into. Once he saw who it was, he bolted. It was the blond from last night and him.
Viktor.
He heard someone call out to him and the little blond screaming out a string of curses but he was too afraid to look back. He didn't want to meet Viktor again, not in this life where they are two completely different people.❀.°•*•°✾.* • °♡ °•❀
Yuuri closed the door behind him and sighed, relieved after running all the way here. He set down the ingredients on the counter and began washing up.
But as he was about to start cooking, he noticed a change in the atmosphere. As if on cue, the bell to his stepmother's room rang, anxiety rising in his chest.
Once outside her door, he calmed his heart as much he could and knocked softly. "Come in, don't keep me waiting." She sounded angry, and Yuuri's heart began beating irregularly again.
He walked in slowly, not looking up in fear of what he could have done wrong. Did he forget a chore? Did the food not please them?
"Yuuri, look up, and explain what this is?" He looked up and saw his stepmother holding the flower crown Viktor had made for him. "T-that is a crown of flowers, ma'am." he stuttered out, fear growing.
"Yes I know what this is, but can you tell me where you got it?" Yuuri could see the green in her eyes begin to stand out more, like a villain in a fairy tale. "Because, I do believe I saw someone at the ball last night with this exact thing on." she tapped her foot impatiently. Yuuri remained silent, refusing to give any hint that it was him last night.
She walked up to Yuuri and grabbed his chin, forcing him to look at her. "Yuuri. I know you went to ball last night, you filthy pig." she released his chin and slapped him with all her might. She walked towards her bed, throwing the floral crown at him and not turning back. "I want you out of my home immediately. I have sheltered you for this long because I thought you were an innocent child. But, now I see you're nothing but a disobedient teenager." Yuuri's eyes were beginning to water, not believing this was actually happening.
"M-Mother, I-I can explain. I-I s-swear I c-" she threw a vase at him and yelled,"Not another word from you, leave this home immediately!"
With that, Yuuri ran. He ran faster than he had ever ran in his life. He ran into the forest, looking for the place he used to go as a child when things were bad.❀.°•*•°✾.* • °♡ °•❀
"Viktor where are you going? the wedding is in 10 minutes? You can't just leave now!" Yuri yelled as he chased Viktor throughout the castle. The man had declared he was going to cancel the wedding to find his "true love".
"Viktor your true love is supposed to be me! You're married to me not that whore from last night!" with that, Viktor spun around, rage in his eyes. He walked up to Yuri, who was crying at this point, and grabbed him by the cheeks harshly. "You, out of everyone here, have no right to call him something as dreadful as that. I have no interest in marrying you nor have I ever from the beginning." Once he did his damage he left, leaving Yuri on his knees, destroyed.
It was a lie, all of it, from the start.❀.°•*•°✾.* • °♡ °•❀
"Yuuri? Yuuri!" he called throughout the forest. He had went to his house but his mother said the last he saw of him was in the woods.
"Yuuri, Yuuri come here! Yuuri don't do anything regretful!" panic was surging through his veins, he knew there was a cliff at the end of this forest, and he knew Yuuri was not in an okay set of mind.
"Viktor?" he heard someone yell and he began running towards it.❀.°•*•°✾.* • °♡ °•❀
He heard him, he heard him calling out to him. He heard the panic in his voice. He heard him tell him not to do anything regretful.
He was here.
Yuuri fell to his knees, hearing the footsteps coming closer with every sob he let out. "Yuuri? Yuuri!" He heard the man but didn't bother to look up. He felt the familiar warmth wrap around him.
"Yuuri, Yuuri are you alright? What happened to your face?" he held his face gently, seeing the red hand mark. Viktor looked down and saw the two lines Yuuri had made. They weren't deep, but the site broke his heart. "Yuuri, listen to me." he grabbed his wrist and began kissing it, using his jacket to cover them. "I'll find a way for us to be together, I swear I will. Please, I just want to be with you in this life Yuuri. You're all I want." Viktor was sobbing too, and Yuuri couldn't handle that.
"Viktor, you have a fate set for you already, I do too. Our fates just weren't meant to be tied together." Yuuri said, caressing his cheek.
Viktor grabbed his hand and kissed his ring finger, like the night before. "Yuuri, we were meant to he together in every life together. Please, stay with me."
Yuuri was about to respond to him but was cut off by the sound of the royal guards coming. He stood up and Viktor grabbed his hand, running away from them. Yuuri knew how this would end. The guards would find them, take Viktor back, and leave Yuuri alone. Yuuri knew this and let go of Viktor, leaving him in shock. "Yuuri, what're you doing? We can run away and be together. Don't you want that?" Viktor was shaking him by the shoulders, completely numb to the harsh grip he held on him.
"There they are!" He heard the young blond's familiar voice. The guards pulled them apart, Viktor tried to fight away from them but his effort was just a waste. Yuuri looked up at Viktor sadly.
"Guards," Viktor looked at Yuri, tears flowing down rapidly," Execute the boy." and with that, Yuuri was taken away.❀.°•*•°✾.* • °♡ °•❀
Viktor's world was falling apart.
He was losing the love of his life, his fate.
"Yuri, please, there's no need to do that. I'll marry you, but please don't kill Yuuri. He had no part in this." Viktor was on his knees, begging and pleading all he could. But Yuri wasn't listening.
His world has been completely wrecked.__________
The execution took place privately after the wedding. They took Yuri, Viktor, and Yuuri to the guillotine. They forced Viktor to watch on the platform. He saw Yuuri look back up at him one final time, smiling sadly. Viktor wanted to look away, but Yuri slapped him back into place each time.
Viktor watched the blade rush down and hit his love's neck. He watched the blood pour out and the life drain from his love's eyes. He gagged and fell to his knees, coughing. Yuri had no expression at all, completely numb to everything happening. Viktor watched as they dragged his body and head off into the Pits, where the rest of the bodies go. While everyone began leaving, Viktor remained behind.
He looked down the pit and took a ring out of his pocket. He looked at it and let it slip through his finger's, down the Pits.
"может мы встретимся снова в другой жизни." he whispered. He got up and left to the castle, ready for whatever was ahead of him..
