Two days has past since the other Trico had came. Binjola's Trico was still laying on the ground but his wounds are healing nicely now.
The boy was in a field of growing crops doing his chores. He had to help make sure his row of plants had no weeds or anything to prevent harvest. Wiping sweat away from his forehead, he looked around. All the other children that he sleeps around was also working on different rows of crops. He decided to get back to work. After all, quicker he's done then the quicker he can see Trico.
"Binjola!" The boy looked up to see a young man that was covered in dirt, pointing to the sky. "It's back!"
The boy looked up at the sky to see the other Trico heading toward the village once again. Without saying anything he took off running. The farm was completely on the other side of the village away from Trico.
He wanted to make it to Trico before the other Trico did. However he barely made it into the village by the time the other Trico was preparing to land.
Once the boy did manage to make it to the Tricos, the other Trico had already regurgitated the barrels. It was sitting and both of them were staring at the barrels. Eyes glowing yellow with anticipation. Binjola had to stop to catch his breath but he forced himself to walk to them.
He wondered how and why the Trico came back with more food. Why is this Trico even helping his Trico? Why doesn't that Trico eat the barrels himself? How is it getting the barrels? Isn't the blue glowing stuff inside humans? They were gathering humans because of that one thing controlling them told them right? Are they still gathering humans?
The two Tricos watched as the boy approached them, picked up the barrles, and feed his Trico. Binjola ended up feeding his Trico four more barrels.
After the fourth one, Trico attempted to stand again. This time he was stable. Both Trico and the boy saw that he was able to stand, they both began to make happy noises.
Trico turned around and started to run, and play. The boy ran after him and started to play with him too. The other Trico sat there watching them.
Once again a group of villagers gathered to watch. They saw Trico stand, run, jump, and play,. A few fainted, others wanted to scream, while others did, some went into a panic and the last few stared unable to process that the man-eating beast can now walk around.
The other Trico roared at Binjola's companion. The roar caught his attention. He roared back before walking over. The boy followed praying that they won't fight. However the two snuzzled each other before the other Trico flew off.
The boy waved it off before looking at the group of villagers. They looked like a mess. Some were trying to wake up the fainted, the ones staring was still trying to process what had happened, the ones wanting to scream were trying to calm down the screaming.
Binjola walked over to them, his companion following. Althought the Chief ran over to them.
"He's going to be up and walking now?"
"Yes," The boy answered while nodding.
"And you're sure he won't eat anyone?"
"Yes."
"What if he does?"
"You can tell by his eyes," The boy pointes up to Trico. "His eyes will be yellow upon seeing food he wants to eat."
The Chief looked up seeing black eyes. It calmed his nerves but not fully. Together with Binjola and Trico, they made their way to the group.
"He's going to eat us now!"
"We should injure it again!"
"Cut its legs!"
"Kill it!"
"No! No! No!" Binjola shouted over everyone. He was shaking his head and hands. "Trico won't eat anyone! I swear!"
"How do you know?" A middle age man got in the boy's face.
"Enough," A rusty, old voice shutted everyone up. They all looked to see the oldest, wisest person in the village. "The boy has a connection to the beast. If he says the creature won't eat anyone then he won't eat anyone."
Slowly he moved closer to the boy. The middle age man stepped away unhappy.
"But Binjola, what if he does?"
"You can always tell what Trico's feeling are from his eyes. When he see food worth eatting his eyes are yellow."
The old man nodded in understandment. "Is there any other color?"
"Well purple means he's feeling threatened or you are a threat to him or me."
"When they're purple he will attack yes?"
"Yes."
"How do we make sure that doesn't happen?"
"No spears or weapons."
The old man looked up at Trico. Trico was looking down at all the humans. They made eye contact and Trico bent his head down. He sniffed the old man before rubbing up against him.
"See, he's not harmful unless you attack first."
The old man smiles and begins to pet him. He looked over at the others. "There is no need to worry."
Mostly everyone's nerves calmed a bit seeing how friendly the creature is, especially now that he can walk.
"Trico, come on!" The boy called out running off into the field. Trico followed and once again they began to play.
The boy was overjoyed that his friend was better now. Trico looked and acted happy too. Although everyone knew life in the village won't be the same again.
