Logan's POV

"Any reply from your GGGIIIIRRRLLLFFRRIIIEEENNNDDDD?!" Wes question for the millionth time.

I sighed, tugged my hair back in frustration, and replied, "No, Wesypoo, I have not gotten any correspondence from Halia since last night."

Today, our section of the squadron had decided to have an early morning chat. After much deliberation, Jared had reluctantly agreed to have it over his place.

"Guys, come on. Don't push our lover boy's luck." Jared leaned against the wall coolly, staring Wes down. Not surprisingly, Jared was staring down at us from his vantage point.

Evan laughed loudly. "It's not like you haven't been busy with Amelia, man. It was bound to happen. Too little bees in a pod." When was Evan not loud?

"Don't you mean PEAS in a pod, loser?" Amelia surprisingly stepped out of the shadows, wearing nothing but Jared's favorite Guns and Roses t-shirt.

Wes's gasp of surprise filled the sudden silence whispered upon the room. Even Evan's expression showed surprise.

"Things just got juicy." I couldn't help but say.

Amelia chuckled and lazily made her way over to Jared, pinched his ear, and dragged him over to the rest of us. Needless to say he had some explaining to do.

"Why would you invite us over to your house, when obviously you haven't finished what you've started with Amelia?" Evan innocently asked.

"Well...you seee...." Jared sheepishly looked up at Amelia, and seeing her frown, continued on. "It wasn't my idea to have this get together at my house."

Grinning, Amelia interjected, "It was all mine. I just came early to the party."

Wes snorted, and whistled a low tune. "Talk about being early, Amelia. Could've shared some Jared-hunkiness with us."

Jared's face, usually void of emotion, suddenly bloomed a questionable shade of red. Wes's guffaw of laughter could be heard for miles.

"It would probably best if you all could get out of here." Jared said, still quite embarrassed. He grabbed Amelia's hand and they disappeared from the room.

"That guy is an actual ANIMAL." Evan grinned. We walked out of Jared's house, wanting to not be around once the cries erupted.

A view of the familiar blue door peeked through the window as Evan drove his car into Halia's driveway. We had not told her we were coming, but I assured them that it would be all right.

Now that I am standing right in front of the door, I can't help but feel nervous. So what: we had a fantastic date, and she's a fantastic girl, and why am I nervous ugh. The boys were laughing and taking dumb selfies as I confidently started waking up to the front door. Maybe it was a bad idea to bring all of them for a visit.

"Char and Amelia are coming in five minutes." Jared said, giving me a thumbs up. Lately, he has been in a fantastic mood because of him and Amelia's blossoming relationship. All of us had game except for Wes, but he didn't seem to mind.

"Do you think Halia's friend will like my new shirt? I picked it out just for her." Wes paraded around, flaunting his canary yellow polo. I felt a tingling in my brain; something from a long time ago. I pushed the overwhelming feelings down.

"Halia has a friend over? Since when?" I asked. Halia had never mentioned anybody at her house.

"Yeah, I mean we've been texting and stuff...I was hoping on catching a girl." Wes sheepishly grinned.

Cahoots and shouts and slapping Wes back filled the next few minutes. We were surprised, to say the least. Wes, settling down with somebody?

The mention of Halia's friend was momentarily forgotten.

I rang the doorbell, and waited in anticipation for the door to open.

I heard footsteps and hurried whispers. The whispers turned into shouts, and my heartbeat was going crazy. What was going on in there? The boys and I were starting to get worried. What was with the shouting?

A sudden crash of some vase hit the floor. I stopped dead in my tracks. Before I had any time to contemplate what was going on, the door opened with a bang.

The wind was instantly knocked out of my lungs. There she was; a ghost in the shadows. She was much paler than before, and her hair wasn't the same. What was the same was her face, the pretty almond shaped eyes that could read my soul. That had haunted me for a year.

"Etta?"
