Hey guys! This chapter is very important: one of the major plot twists is revealed, and I strongly think you should reread Logan's prologue again to remind yourself about his past. Hope you all enjoy!

Logan's POV

I rung the doorbell, and patiently waited.

Halia's house was very detailed; everything from the blue front door, the blooming array of flowers in the front yard.

I had parked my car on her driveway, next to Halia's car. I wondered why she didn't park it in the garage. Someone was probably visiting, then.

My suspicions were confirmed when I heard two sets of giggles, a shuffling of somebody waking away, and the tap of heels ringing on hardwood through the door. My nerves were making me jittery, so I tapped my foot to try to coals myself.

God, what a wimp.

The bright blue door flipped open, followed by Halia peeking out. I focused in on how she looked: her midnight blue dress, that was form fitting and than flared at the waist. She was holding her phone in one hand and her black sky high heels in the other. Her hair was curled, and I realized that I'd never seen her hair not straight.

Too long, he spent too long staring at her, until finally Halia blinked away the stars in her eyes and snapped her fingers in front of my face.

"Hey. Logan. Up here."

I complied, peering at her curious blue eyes.

Halia took her turn examining me, "You clean up nicely."

"Happy to please you." I ran a hand through my hair nervously. "We'd better head off now before I change my mind."

Halia chuckled, muttering "touché" before putting on her shoes and closing the door behind her.

She sang awfully.

Once settling ourselves in my car, she took off her shoes, put her feet up on the dashboard, and flicked through stations to see what was on.

I hadn't expected her to pick this one. One Direction's voice boomed from the speakers.

"THE STORY OF MY LIFE I TAKE HER HOME! I DRIVE ALL NIGHT, TO KEEP HER WARMMM INSIDE! ITS FROOOHOH---"

I slammed my palm onto the OFF button as fast as possible without crashing us into the ocean. Yes, the ocean was nearby; we were heading up to a classy restaurant in the middle of the woods that was also very expensive.

Halia pouted in shotgun, muttering obscenities and rolling her eyes.

Nice one, Helios.

I drove into the driveway of the restaurant, quickly trying to find a parking spot in the mayhem of cars.

"Logan. We're going to Cliff View?" Halia said with confusion. "You do realize how overly expensive this place is, right?"

"I know." I said calmly. I took her hand. "Don't complain, we drive forty-five minutes here. There's no way we're turning back."
