A soul never dies

Only the remain of body lies.

It's a free wanderer

With an undying wanderlust

Leaving behind a speckle of dust.

Wanting to be the conquerer,

Of both the worlds

Of the whole universe

His body fully immerse

Turning into ashes

Where memories remain in flashes.

Candice's pov

One of the many things I failed to understand on this Earth was the reason why people feared death?

After all death was inevitable.
No I am not some depressed emo gothic teen who wants to die to forget all her miseries or someone who is drowning in the sea of her sorrows. It’s that the thought of death leaves me excited and awakens my adventurous spirit.

Sometimes I wonder that why humans aren’t curious to know more about the afterlife. There are so many theories for example the theory of reincarnation and the theory of having only one life to explore. Well sadly if the latter half is true then I might say that my dream of travelling the whole world will remain a dream.

In my head there were a lot of bizarre theories about death. At least I know that one of them is true, the theory of ghosts. Ghosts are lost souls bonded to Earth trying to complete their last wishes maybe.

I still wanted to see god, in my head god looked humanly but he had so many avatars. I had once read somewhere that god was just a ball of energy with no definite features. My head like always was buzzing with the thoughts of hell and heaven. I was excited to say the least, excited to experience the afterlife.

My eyes caught a young man trying to enter an old locked house. It had been a lot of time since I was sitting in the park riding on the swing with no mission to accomplish.

Life now seemed like a stage where I was a mere spectator. My life was quite dull with nothing to look forward to but currently this young man's activities were quite unassumingly interesting. No it wasn’t that he looked spectacular, he looked dead from inside and I bet he was a robber trying to break in. Finally he completed his task and on entering switched on the lights.

I  felt to reluctant to get up especially to see his suspicious activities but my gut instinct persuaded me to keep an eye on him. Finally giving in I followed my gut.

To my surprise the young ginger haired boy wasn’t a simple robber he in fact was dragging a body down the hall. The body was that of a young boy in his late teens. Looking at the sight in front of me I froze and terror seized my body making me shiver. I screamed yelping for help, I could have screamed more it wouldn’t have mattered but the ginger man’s eyes met mine.

The look he gave me was of death. I mentally cursed myself for being this stupid but then it triggered to me. How could he possibly see me? I was supposed to be invisible….I was supposed to be dead more like a wandering soul or what you call a ghost.

The man hastily began bringing the body towards the park, searching for something. I wasn't sure yet if the ginger haired criminal had seen me. Because if he had then I was screwed. God knows from where he found a shovel and began digging deep into the soil making a pit.

Didn't the guy have any senses? He saw me he should have been scared terrified to see a ghost but he was busy digging. I bet that the guy was on drugs. What if he was a clairvoyant? Someone who can see ghosts.

This criminal was my only ray of hope and maybe could help me to figure out the reason why I was stuck in here?

How was I even supposed to approach this guy? Like say a hi or maybe blackmail him.

The guy was working fast digging with the shovel like a superhuman. I slowly tip toed towards him hiding behind a bush.

The ginger haired boy finally lifted the body of the young boy with tattoos and piercings. It somewhat felt weird that this park was my home for a lot of time. A place to clear my head but I hadn't ever noticed any activity in this house, never known that someone even stayed here.

I was always afraid of the dark never knowing what lurks behind the walls of that house.

Candice hurry up! Exclaimed my mind....It was time to do the face reveal. Just go and barge in and blackmail.

I followed my mind's advice and dared to step in front of him. He was almost over, covering the pit with mud. When he looked at me he stopped.

Yes! I was right....He could see me, everything seemed so surreal and I couldn't believe my luck. Finally I had found a claryvoiyant.

I was about to open my mouth when the most unexpected thing happened more like a twist in a thriller book.

The ginger haired criminal fell at the ground like a dead corpse and some light emitted from his body. A soul of a girl left him.

She was beautiful like an angel with black hair and green eyes. Her black wings fluttered open and she vanished in thin air creating a mist in the air. I was so captivated by her mystical beauty that I stood there in awe.

Not realizing what had just happened everything seemed so magical. It was clear to me that I had seen an angel and maybe the angel of death.
