Alex's pov
Most people would think that working in a bookstore is one of the dullest jobs to have. Well, I got to disagree with that. Sure, we don't have exciting car chases or something like that, but at least the people here make it interesting. Whether it's Vernon who keeps forgetting where his workplace actually is or Joshua who keeps trying to make sure that we don't accidentally do something stupid, or even seeing your boss kissing one of your neighbors. I think the last one is probably the most memorable.
Like pretty much every other day, me, Joshua and Vernon were in the storage room, mostly to avoid being on cashier duty and it's also the only way we have to sneak Vernon in. Even though, Woozi is already used to having him over all the time.
While the three of us were just talking, Woozi came through the door looking uncharacteristically nervous.
"Hey Alex, can I speak with you for a second?"
Joshua and Vernon glanced at me, probably wondering what I could I possibly have done wrong that required to have a private conversation with Woozi.
"It's about Shinee's new album." he hinted, knowing that I would understand the meaning behind it.
If they weren't confused before, now they definitely had, even more, questions, as Joshua let out a very loud 'what?' while Vernon looked completely perplexed.
"Sure." I said as I followed our boss out of the room, leaving the two confused boys behind.
Once we were out of earshot, Woozi hesitantly started to speak.
"Look, about yesterday...I know it probably shocked you and probably made you feel slightly uncomfortable. But, I just wanted to make sure that everything is alright."
"Well, you got the shock part right, I really didn't expect that one. But honestly, it more because it was you and Hoshi. You two are so different, I guess?"
"Are you sure it's not weird for you?"
"Why would it be weird? Hell, me and Mingyu became fans of this ship after what happened! You seriously don't have anything to worry about. We're so happy for you!"
"That's good to know." Woozi let out a sigh of relieve. "Do you think you can keep this between us for now?"
"Of course...as long as you tell me all the details, 'cause I'm honestly curious! I know it's none of my business, but come on!"
"Don't you have work to do?" Woozi laughed.
"If I say no, will I be put on cashier duty?"
"Yes."
"Then I'm incredibly busy, I should probably get back to work now! But if you're not going to tell me anything, then I'll just ask Hoshi."
"I figured that one out. Now get back to work."
