There was sadness in a deep puddle of clear blue. One footstep and then two, each landing in wetness, water droplets running down small brown toes.
There was no light, only dim silhouettes shadowed in darkness. It was cold, no warmth to be felt, just the icy greetings of emptiness.
Still feet continued to move, stepping through the water as it grew deeper and deeper still.
Splish, splash, splish, splash....
Where was the light? The sun? The darkness was almost frightening in its entirety. And suddenly the water was gone, the cold was still present but no longer made her shiver in its clutches. She continued on, walking ahead and yet no where at all. There was the sound of a faint whisper, so faint she questioned if she heard it at all.
But then there it was again, lulling her forward, beckoning her closer. So she followed it, freezing once she came upon a dark figure before her. The frame of a man, wide shouldered, tall...empty.
He had no face, no features to describe, he was merely a dark blob before her.
Until eyes appeared, deep blue eyes of azure that gleamed in her direction. Eyes that called her closer still, whispering to her, pleading with her.
"Help me." They seemed to shout. The voice echoed, bouncing around her in a terrifying staccato.
"How?" She asked warily, "How do I help you?"
Suddenly the eyes began to dull, their blue growing dimmer and dimmer until she could barely see them.
"Give me love."
