~ GEMINI POV ~
I walked down the hallway quietly, heading towards my locker. It was a quiet day-- most of the eighth graders were off at some big meeting. Of course, the sixth graders were upstairs, so we seventh graders had the entire floor to ourselves!
"Gem! Over here!" A couple of my friends waved me over and I lept to my feet to run over to them.
"What's up, Cap? Hey Leo!" I smiled and almost didn't notice my pencil pouch slipping from my grip. At the last second I grabbed it and rebalanced my stuff.
"Look!" Was the only response I got. And a good one it was, for the revealed poster was strangely familiar. I had drawn a crude dragon character and handed it to one of my teachers, saying jokingly that it was an entry to the character of the month award. Every month at Zodiac Middle(or high, whichever you prefer), there was a contest for the most original and fun character. It had to be drawn by you, and several aspects of that character's life must be shown on the page.
Turns out, Ibis was original enough. A simple MudWing from WoF, Ibis was one of those characters who is just bubbly on the inside, but on the outside has several horrible disabilities.
Like not being able to fly.
When you're a dragon.
So yeah, I was amazed that she won character of the month! COOL!
"Wow! I suppose I was the only entry? Because there is no way that Ibis is better than any other character. Ever. Literally just a disabled MudWing." I pointed out, which earned me a round of laughter.
"Gemini-- last month had more entries than ever before! Mr Winl said so!" Cap exclaimed, which freaked me out. How had I won? Me. The ultimate loser. Maybe it was a joke? That sounded likely.
And then the bell rang.
"Guys! We should get to class!" I exclaimed, before running down the hallway. "Last one there is a rotten egg!"
A/N: The events in this chapter have no relevance to the plot line, nor did they happen in real life. I simply put them in so y'all would know I'm alive X3!
An important chapter is coming up soon. This story will, sadly, end after twenty-five chapters.
