"Kat! Are you almost done?" Jake called, knocking on the bathroom door.

"Yeah why?" I ask, opening the door. Jake has his hair pushed back and a nice blue button down and jeans.

"How do I look?" He asks nervously.

"You look fine. It's just dinner with your boss, you're fine." I reply on a roll of my eyes. I pull my hair into a messy bun as I walked to the living room, Jake in tow.

"But it's my boss, I have to look perfect." He said, slipping on black socks and shoes.

"You look handsome. Now shut up." I grabbed the remote, putting on Iron Man and pausing it as Jake complained some more about wanting to look perfect.

"When does Damon come over?" I asked getting up and walking to the kitchen. I grabbed a bag of unpopped popcorn, and threw it in the microwave, turning it on. I got a glass of lemonade as Jake tugged his sleeves.

"Hour or so. That means you have to have your phone with you at all times, and call me if anything happens." Jake rambled.

"Leave Jake." I groan, pinching the bridge of my nose to try and gather some patience.

"Okay I'm leaving. Be safe." He pecked my cheek before jogging out. Once I heard the beep of the microwave, I grabbed the popcorn, and walked into the living room. Just as I was about to sit down and hibernate for the night on the couch, there was a knock on the door. With a groan I drag myself to the door, peering through the peephole to see Amanda. I took a deep breath, cursing to myself, before quietly backing away.

"I know you are in there Katherine." She called, making me groan. I opened the door, putting on a fake smile for the tall purple-headed girl. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun and she wore a crop top and sweats.

"I've missed ya Kat!" She remarks, giving me a smile and walking in, giving me a kiss on the cheek as she does.

"Ooh movie night date for me? You shouldn't have." She walks over to the living room and shoving a fistful of popcorn in her mouth. I let out a groan before waking over and sitting on the love seat.

"Awe come on Kat, it's been forever! Talk to me." She said getting up and walking over to me, and taking a seat right beside me.

"Nothing new. Damon's on his way here." I said my eyes trained on the TV.

"Kat, you know I didn't want any of that to happen that night right?" She asks, her hand laying on my mid-thigh. My eyes flickered from her hand to the TV.

"I know." I said with a sigh, my eyes still on the TV. Her hand moved up more making my head turn to her.

"Stop I don't like you like that and you know this." I say, shoving her hand away. Her cat green eyes narrowed as she moved her hand back.

"Why are you acting like this? Is it because you and that boy are a thing?" Her voice darkened, making my eyes go to her, anger sparking in me.

"No we aren't dating, and I'm always like this. I don't like you touching me like this." I said pushing her hand away. I got up from the couch and walk to the kitchen to grab a bag of gushers.

"I know you like him. I know he likes you." She started.

"I don't like him."

"Liar, I see the way you look at him."

"Pure annoyance?" She smiled softly before shaking her head.

"No, but it's the way I wish you'd look at me."

"I don't like you like that. I don't roll that way." I reply popping a gusher in my mouth.

"Why can't you like me!" She shouts, making me jump, startled from the sudden noise. She grabbed a glass from the counter, throwing it at the cabinet next to my head. I jumped, my eyes widening in fear. Her body tensed as she stared me down.
