"Katherine! You're friend is here to drive you to school!" Jake called. Jake looked a lot like our mom. His dirty blond hair was cut short, showing his blue eyes. His 6' frame was well built from his job of being a construction worker. He had his right ear pierced and tattoos here and there on his arms and back. Both our parents were tall, but I didn't inherit any of their features. My mother had thin dirty blond, curly hair, and big blue eyes. She was a skinny woman, not much curve to her body. My dad had black hair, and green eyes with sun kissed skin. Like my mother, he was very tall and lean. It's been years since I've last seen them, but I still could see a faint image of their appearance in the back of my mind.

"Almost done!" I called back curling my last section. I looked in the mirror taking in my appearance. My long blond hair was in loose curls down my back. I wore a pair of high waisted jeans, and a black and white striped shirt that showed the top of my back and tied at the neck. I threw on my black long sleeve cardigan that stopped right below the dimples of my back. You could kind of see my belly button piercing, so I adjusted my shirt so it was less noticeable.

"Katherine!" Jake called. I threw my back pack over my shoulder and my iPhone 6 in my back pocket before running down stairs.

"I'm here I'm-" I missed a step stumbling down the stairs. I groaned laying there while looking up at the ceiling.

"I hate my life." I grumbled as Jake laughed holding his stomach. Such a good big brother. I got up making a move to launch my self at make just as Ace held my hips. Butterflies erupted in my belly as his fingers touched my exposed skin from where the shirt has risen. My face flamed in embarrassment of my klutziness and I just wanted to crawl in a hole.

"Come on kitten, we are going to be late." Ace said throwing me over his shoulder as he walked out.

"This isn't over Jake!" I called shaking my fist at him.

"Bye! Have a good day! I LOVE YOU KAT!" Jake called. Ace placed me down on the motorcycle before climbing on himself and starting the engine.

"Never speaking of this again." I said wrapping my arms around him.

"My lips are sealed kitten." He said driving off to school.

"Katherine!" Damon yelled angrily before stomping over to me. My eyes widened as I hid behind Ace, peering over his should to look at Damon.

"Woah what am I in the middle of?" Ace asked throwing his hands up.

"You." Damon said pointing at me.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!" I said quickly. I was still on my tippy toes trying to peer over Ace's shoulder.

"I was up all night! Not one text or call, 'hey Damon, I'm home and alive.' Do you know how worried I was." I noticed the bags under his eyes and how pale his skin was.

"I'm sorry! I forgot! I got home late then I did my homework, and fell asleep when reading a book for Mr. Marks class." I said honestly.

"I thought he got you! I called you! I texted you! Not one 'sorry I'm doing my homework.'" He said running a hand through his messy blond hair.

"I'm sorry." I said moving from behind Ace to hug Damon.

"I didn't mean to worry you. My phone was off because Jake took it away from me." I said my head nuzzled against his chest as I hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arms around me laying his cheek on my head.

"God I was so worried. I thought he got you. I almost called the cops." I rubbed his back as I rocked us from side to side.

"Well I'm safe! See." I said pulling back and doing jazz hands. Damon rolled his eyes with a smile.
