Today is the day of the Tribute Parade. I haven't met my stylist yet, and I am very excited for what is to come. This morning, Cato and I watched every district's Reapings to check out the competition. We didn't see anything unusual. Only a few people caught my eye. One was the boy from District 11. He was a stocky build, and he looked tough and somewhat useful. I told Cato, and we decided to invite him into our alliance. The other person whom I took notice of. The girl from District 12. I saw as someone who must have been her sister was drawn, and then when she volunteered in her place. She was probably not good, just trying to save her sister. She would most likely be an easy kill, just like the others.
Cato and I went to meet our prep teams. We were split into two teams, and I ended up in a chair with people perfecting my look before I met my stylist. They chattered for a while about random Capitol things. I rolled my eyes at some of their stupid conversations. They complimented me about my show at the Reaping, and it was the exact reaction I had hoped for.
Once my prep team finished, I was flawless. I was a bit uncomfortable with being naked, but I didn't show it. The gave me a soft robe and lead me to the room where I was to meet my stylist. I sat in a chair once the door was closed and waited. Soon enough, my stylist arrived.
"I am Silviess Cresta." she said warmly as she shook my hand. "I'm Clove." I replied. "Oh yes I know," she said. "As soon as I saw your Reaping video, I knew I picked the right district. I m going to make you a superstar!" she finished.
I actually believed her. She was dressed in a silver and golden dress with black heels. Her hair was in a simple ponytail. The only thing that wasn't normal about her was a golden streak in her black hair.
She showed me into the room where my outfit was, and I knew that Cato and I would be the stars of the tribute parade. District 2 is masonry, so my outfit went into the golden theme. I had a solid gold gladiator uniform. It was a fitted golden chest plate, with golden flakes bursting out from the neck. I wore golden leggings to go with it, and for shoes I wore golden high heeled boots tied up to my knees. I had a see through golden shimmery cape on my back that draped down to my knees, and to finish of the look, a golden winged helmet. Under the helmet I wore a low ponytail, and I had on golden lipstick with golden eyeshadow and eyeliner, and golden shimmery powder was sprinkled on my face.
When I looked in the mirror, I realized that I would shine the most, and was very thankful for my stylist. I really pulled off this look. When I was finished, I met Cato by our chariot.
"Wow," he said when I arrived. "You look amazing."
"Thank you," I replied as I looked at him. "You look great too."
He was wearing the same thing as me, with slight modifications. We were quite the pair. I knew we would outshine all the others. I scanned the other tributes to see how good their outfits were. I saw nothing much. Most of the other tributes looked as if they had drunk stylists, which wouldn't surprise me. I looked over to District 12, and they had on black jumpsuits. How exciting. They looked so bland and boring. I quickly turned to Cato and told him that we needed to get in our chariot. The parade was about to begin.
