lie #2: i'll quit drinking
you said you'd quit drinking.
after months of me begging you to stop, you finally said you would.
but i had to threaten to leave in order for you to say it. and even then you weren't telling the truth. you were not planning to keep that promise.
so why did you say it, Luke ?
you obviously had no intention on stopping.
"he's trying" i told myself. "it's hard for him".
i kept telling myself that, hoping that i'd actually believe it.
and i did eventually.
but then you said you were going out to visit your mother.
and guess what? i believed you.
so tell me why Liz calls me asking how YOU are doing and when are WE going to visit.
I let it slide Luke. i didn't even say anything when you got home from "her house".
i didn't say anything when you talked about how much fun you had with your mom and brothers.
i didn't even say anything when you reeked of alcohol.
