She propped her feet on the table, her sister read and brother ate quickly. Their mother and father held each other’s hands as they ate. Both smiled at each other then their children. They were a family on the middle spectrum of being content. They didn’t fight and then again they weren’t the happiest of families.
She picked up her plate kissing her father on the cheek.
“Thanks for dinner dad”
“Your welcome Honey” He smiled at her as she left the table, the rest of her family still eating.
