Chapter 6

It has been nearly three weeks since that Sunday afternoon that Quade and I sat in his lounge room and he told me that he wants to marry me and adopt children with me. We don’t get to see each other during the working week but have texted and called each other every night. On the weekends I stay over at his place and we have gotten to know each other really well over this short period of time. True to his word Quade has not brought the subject of marriage or adoption up again.
I know I need to give him an answer soon though. I have developed such strong feelings for him over these past weeks. I hate having to leave his place on a Monday morning. It was so bad this week that I cried on my way home. During the week I can’t wait to get a text or a phone call from him now. He is all I think about.
This is so crazy. I am counting down the hours until I can get to be in his arms this afternoon and have his wonderful lips place kisses all over my face. I have confided all of this in Ryleigh and she said to me “I told you so. He is your always and forever.”
Is it possible though? Can she be right?
Have I fallen in love with him without even knowing it? All the signs are there as plain as day. I’m the only blind one who can’t seem to see them right in front of her. I am such a dumb ass.
I face palm myself and then rub my forehead because that hurt. Nothing like a good old smack up the head to get you to realise things. I’m in love with him. I Makenzi Brown am in love with one very sexy and handsome Quade Thomas.
I have just parked in Quade's drive way and the butterflies I have had in my stomach all afternoon have changed into big tight knots. I walk up to the front door and lift my hand up to knock but he opens it up before I can. He pulls me into the house and closes the door behind me. I turn back to him and he pulls me to him and then leans down and places his lips on mine and kisses me with so much passion and desire that when he breaks the kiss I find it hard to breathe.
His hand comes up and caresses the side of my face while I am still in my daze. I eventually come back to the now. I reach for his hand and bring it to my lips and kiss his palm and then place it on my chest over my heart. I look up at him and see that his eyes are a darker colour than normal and I am mesmerised by them. I lean up and place a sweet delicate kiss on his lips which I follow with kisses up to his ear. He pulls me closer to him and wraps his arms around me. I pull in his ear lobe with my lips and I hear a deep groan comes from him. I smile to myself because I want him to be lost with need for me.
I move my lips up to his ear and I whisper to him. “I Love you.”
I then wrap my arms around his neck and lock them there letting my feet lift of off the floor due to our height difference. Quade is silent and motionless for a minute as if what I just said to him has not set in.
“Did you hear what I said Quade?” I ask him after a while.
I still get no response from him. I loosen my arms around his neck and lower myself to the floor leaving my hands on his shoulders and look at him.
He has got the biggest smile I think I have ever seen on him. I just stare at him and feel his contagious smile take over on my face as well. The next thing I know he is spinning us both around in a circle. I start laughing and he laughs with me and keeps at it for a few more seconds. He eventually stops and I lower my feet to the floor to stop my head from spinning and he crashes his lips on to mine and gives me a chaste kiss and then proceeds to kiss my face “ I kiss Love kiss You kiss To” I giggle at his childishness and just embrace the moment.
I just told Quade that I am in love with him and he said it back to me to. I can no longer feel the knots in my stomach because the butterflies have come back and they are all because of him.
