The things clanking in Enoch's bag I concluded were jars,

Lots of them.

It was now about 5:00 the sun was just commencing it's set.

We were walking along the side of the road, tons of prairies and farm land surrounded us.

The sky was a vibrant pink and orange.

"So." I said "so what?" Enoch said.

"Where are we going?" I asked, Enoch smirked. "To a hotel, just a mile away." He said.

We arrived at the hotel.
A small dingy place with brown walls and creaky floorboards.

It was called the "priests hole"

We walked in and a man approached us "what can I do for you lovely couple?" He asked

Enoch stepped forward with me and put an arm around my shoulder "well we'd like a room please." He said, then fake smiles down at me.

"Well of course lovelies." He said while walking towards the booth with all the keys.

"Thank you sir." I said

We walked up the creaky staircase and down the cream coloured hall to room sixteen b.

"Well here is our luxurious room darling." Enoch said smirking

"Oh, lovely darling dear." I said jokingly

We smiled at each other.

There was one bed.

Awkward is all I could think of.

It was about 10:00

The sun had set and it was quiet everywhere.

Enoch was staring at a jar with red goo inside of it.

He put it down and looked at me.

"Well I'm tired I'm going to bed" I said.

"I hope you know I'm not sleeping on the floor." He said staring at me.

"I'm not sleeping on the floor." I said staring down at the dusty wood.

"Then we share." He concluded
"Fine." I said
"Fine." He replied

I got in bed and so did Enoch.

I was on my right side facing him.

He turned to my direction.
"Hi." He said
"Don't make this awkward." I said
"I'm sorry I'm not trying to make it awkward." He whined.

I laughed, he smirked.

Enoch sat up with speed, breathing heavily and shaking the bed.

That woke me up I opened my eyes to see him staring at the wall sitting up.

"Enoch, are you alright?" I asked,
"Yeah, I'm fine." He said.

Then I noticed a tear drip down his cheek and onto the blanket.

"Come here." I motioned him to lay in my arms.

That was the only way I knew how to comfort people.

"No seriously I'm fine." He said
"Your not." I said

He complied with my hug.

Enoch laid down his warmth surrounded me.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his shoulder.

"Relax." I said quietly

He wasn't tense, instead he was asleep.

I pulled him closer so that his cheek was touching my chest.

His shirtless back was warm.

He was warm.

We woke to several knocks on the door.
My hair was a mess and so was his.

I got out of bed, Enoch sat up wrapping the blanket around himself.

I put on a robe and smiled back at him.

He had a direct view of the door from the bed.

I opened it to the man from the lobby yesterday.

"Oh!, sorry to uh bother you...."
He said awkwardly

"Oh no problem" I said smiling
"Well we have breakfasts downstairs or there is a shop down the road." He said

"Thanks well check it out later." I said
He nodded then left.

I went downstairs to get food.

I brought back a bowl of fruit.

I sat on the bed,
Enoch's still shirtless, smiled at me.

"Oh, that was funny." He said popping a grape into his mouth.
"What was?" I asked
"At the door." He said
"Why was it funny?" I asked again

He leaned back
"Do you realize how this looked." He said, I was confused.
"Two teenagers, early morning, messy bed and hair, one sitting in bed shirtless, one wearing a robe covering her pajamas?" He tilted his head smiling.

"Oh my gosh, ew!" I squealed
Enoch laughed a throaty laugh.
I threw a grape at him.
He picked it up and ate it while shrugging.

"We're a couple aren't we?" He said laughing.

"It could happen." He continued
