"Of course she's staying." Enoch spat
Alfie smiled, "okay great!"

I took a breath and smiled at them both.
Alfie smiled back,
Enoch licked his lips and walked away.

I shrugged.

I walked into the kitchen and almost ran directly into Miss.Mclaggin, she smiled sweetly and pleasantly. She reminded me so much of my mother before the accident.

"Hello deary, there is a place for you at the dining table. Right beside Poppy." She said
I smiled and nodded.

I made my way over to my seat. The dining room was huge and had dark red velvet chairs .
There was a large dark oak table placed directly in the middle.
Poppy smiled and patted the seat beside her, I sat down and looked at my plate.

Beans,chicken,soup. Yum.

The other children giggled and I looked up.
They were all staring at me. My eyes widened and I asked "what did I do?" They all shook their heads.

I looked over at Enoch who was already staring at me. I smiled, he smiled.
For some reason a sense of relief flooded through me, like everything was going to be alright because Enoch was here.
Of course that was a mistake I made early on.
You'll find out why soon enough.

Miss.Mclaggin entered the dining room and sat at the end of the table, across from Enoch.
She looked around the table and said "alright children, take hands." Everyone looked to their left or right and held each other's hand.

On my left was Poppy, her hands were so warm they made up for my icy fingers.
On my right was Enoch. The both of us were cold. He gripped my hand gently and the corner of his mouth lifted up. I blushed.
Miss.Mclaggin spoke boisterously "we thank ourselves for making this meal; we thank the unforeseen consequences that led each of us to be a family; we also would like to acknowledge our new edition to the Mclaggin loop, Aspen Tweed." She smiled at me. Of course I returned it.
Everyone one let go except Enoch who just pulled my hand under the table. I presumed my face was now the colour of a tomato.
He looked over at me and mouthed "talk later"

I nodded.

He let go of my hand and started to eat.
I grabbed my knife and fork and cut into the chicken. It sliced so easily, and smelled so good.
I took a piece and ate it, "wow, this is so good!" I said excitedly.
Enoch spoke up," yeah, we have it every night, only.." then the other children joined in "beans, chicken, soup." They all sang harmoniously.
They all smiled together,
I laughed.

Hello lovelies, I am absolutely sorry for taking soooo long with this chapter, I'm working on another book that's not going on Wattpad and it's really time consuming. Also it was my birthday two days ago! The next chapter is only an authors note that explains more. I promise I'll try to catch up with chapters.
