"What is written in that chit Ash? Looks like you've started getting love letters," Leo said with a sneer.  Leo was as happy as a sandboy. He was always jovial, cheerful and optimistic. Eric his twin brother, on contrary was more of a geeky kind of boy and a tech wiz. He usually didn't interfere in anyone's business unless he was forced to. The roots of our friendship grew stronger when they started hanging out with Jason and I. Don't take me wrong, Eric was optimistic and cheerful too but he just liked being tranquil. He was too goody two shoes. He was always the perfect boyfriend. Eric and Emma were the perfect couple of our troop. While Leo in this situation too had an oppugnant characteristic. He was the playboy and could never stick to one girl. He didn't believe in love.

We were sitting in the cafeteria for lunch and all of a sudden I was distracted by Leo's comment on Zach's chit. I wasn't sure what to tell him or anyone for that matter. They would have a different idea of that jerk and I if they read this note. Before I could tell them anything, Emma already started spilling the beans, "Guys I'm sure it's from that new guy in our class. He was so into Ashley. He asked Mr. Hamilton if he could take a seat next to her? He was really hot. Isn't that note from Zach?"
"Ohh.. he was hot?" Eric said with a poor mouth.
"Out of everything you only found that one sentence interesting?" Emma asked.
"What did you say? A guy hitting on Ashley? Unbelievable," I couldn't help but roll my eyes at that. I turned to look at Jason, but his face was expressionless more like chapfallen. I didn't understand why. So I tried defending for myself, "He wasn't hitting on me Leo. Also, he has my chemistry book and that's the reason I had to make this stupid deal with him."
As soon as I said that, Jason asked me, "What deal?"
"Ummm.. he is going to give me a ride after school."
Leo couldn't stop laughing at the statement I made a few seconds ago. I didn't really care, but what made me insecure was when Eric started laughing. Jason still kept a hard face. Why was he acting so different? I mean he always defends me when Leo tries to mock me. Anyway I had to deviate the topic, "So who's up for a movies night tomorrow?"
"Count me in," we all turned to see who was the owner of the voice. And there he was, devil incarnated in the human form. I didn't even invite him. Why was he bothering me?
"Right lilly?" He asked without any hesitation.
"Sure man," Leo said without thinking twice. It was my party. I gave him a 'what the hell is going on?' expression. "Thanks man," he said with his trademark smirk and sat with us. Doesn't he have friends to sit with or girls to go with? Why on earth does he have piss me off! I couldn't stand him for one minute.

He started getting along with my friends really fast. Leo and Zach were already talking about all the sexy girls in our school. Such playboys! Well, Zach was not only mingling with Leo, but surprisingly Eric and Jason too and Emma was too busy fangirling over him. He just snatched all my friends from me. This was totally unfair. I wanted my friends back. Looking at my grumpy face, he said with a sneer, "I think something is burning."
Couldn't he shut up? He is so infuriating. How could someone be so annoying?
"Wait what is burning?" Emma asked. We couldn't stop rolling our eyes at that.
Eric replied, "Nothing baby."
"Guys I have Math next, I'm going to leave now. I'll see you all later," I excused myself so that I could escape from that jerk.

Finally after an exhausting day, I was ready to leave just when I realised I need to go home with that jerk. The day couldn't get any better. I headed my way towards the parking. As I reached the parking, I was trying to figure out where that jerk was. There was continous honking on the other side of the parking. Whoever it was had no sense of civility. Tilting my head I found out it was that asshole. No wonder.

After a few seconds, the car came right in front of me. It was a black SUV. I've always wanted this car. "Stop day dreaming lilly. Come in." There it was..his annoying voice and even more annoying face. After getting in, he asked, "Are you going to tell me the way to your house or no?"
"Jeez. I just got in..let me at least settle," I said.
Directing him to my house, we finally reached the destination. "Can I have my book now?"
"Not so fast lilly," he said with a smirk.
"It was a damn deal. Give me my book," I said.
"Why are you screaming Ashley?" my dad asked. Why didn't he go to office today?
"Nothing dad. Just asking him for my book," I said.
"Oh hello Mr. Ummm...sir," he lent out his hand for a manly handshake.
"Mr. Anderson..and you are?" my dad asked.
"Zachary Peterson, Ashleeey's new friend," he said stressing on my name.  Oh yeah, now he knows my name too and is shaking hands with my dad. I didn't like this. I didn't like him.
"Why don't you come over some day?" my dad asked him. What the hell dad? Don't you understand that I hate him?
"Sure Mr. Anderson. She called me tomorrow for a movies night," he said.
"Okay so now can I have my book?" I asked.
"Obviously, lilly," he said. What happened to him? Why is he acting so sweet? Oh the angelic look in front of my dad. Handing me my book, he said, "See you soon, lilly."

With that, he left in his SUV.
"Nice guy. He has sense of manners. Also, why does he call you lilly?" my dad asked with with an approving gaze. Sure dad. He is. "I have no clue why he calls me that," I said. Actually howled. "Woah calm down, Tiger. What happened?" my dad asked.
"Nothing dad," I barked.

People say that the thing that you hate the most, will always haunt you. I couldn't agree less with that.
