It's been one month since I had been to Zach's house, but ever since he had been avoiding me at all costs. It hurt but I was kinda over it because I hardly knew that guy. I mean c'mon his attitude needs to subside. But it wasn't the end. He was always hanging out with us which would make me feel more uncomfortable. I actually got more used it now. Eric had asked me whether I had mended things with him but I just shrugged and dropped the topic. He took the hint and never spoke about it again.

I crossed paths with Kelly sometimes, but she was civil enough to stop and make a small talk with me. Unlike her brother, she was sweet and had a sense of hospitality. That girl was mature than her brother. Geez he needs to take a chill. I was distracted with all the thoughts fuming in my mind when I heard an argument going on.

"Bro she's going to reject you anyway. Drop it!" Zach said in his cocky tone.

"Uh huh let's see! If she yes for a date then you gotta stop being a jerk to Ash and forgive her," Leo replies.

I was taken aback when my name popped up. Like what the hell? I wasn't even a part of this argument! I raised my eyebrow at Leo to ask what was going on? He then mouthed 'just go with the flow'. I've always hated when I was put in the spotlight. Everyone's eyes were glancing back and forth from Zach and I. He finally said, "Okay deal."

I was sure Leo was gonna lose this bet. He was going to ask Hazel out. She was like one of the most popular girls of our school. Leo had got a chance with every girl except Hazel. She was cocky and she had more ego than hair on her head. Not even kidding! Leo was a little self conceited and self centred. She wouldn't stand a guy if he didn't compliment her beauty. She was aware that she had the best figure and was the most beautiful blonde in our school.

My eyes flickered to Alessia who had a frown plastered on her face. She kept her eyes on her plate in the cafeteria and didn't even glance once at Leo. She was just playing with her food and something was really bothering her. I didn't care about the deal anymore. I didn't like it when my friends were sad and she was just one of us now. I took a seat next to her as Leo had just gone to ask Hazel out.

"What's up Al?" I asked. She glanced up for the first time and gave me a short smile and went back to staring at her food. Her problems were really bothering me now. I never saw her like this. She was always so happy and elated.

"Hey is everything okay?" I asked once again.

"Yes I guess," she whispered.

"Wanna talk?"

"U-ummm.." she stammered.

"It's alright. Don't worry. I won't push you. Take your time. Just remember if you want to talk to someone I'm always there. Okay?"

"Sure," she smiled at me. A genuine one. I was happy that I made her smile.

"Now c'mon let's see what that blonde replied to that shiznit. I'm sure that barbie must've rejected the self centred ass."

She laughed at the name I had given to Leo and Hazel. But I was glad she loosened up a bit. Her mirth was full of happiness and her face was radiating. It soon died when Leo walked up to us with a smirk on his face. We were all just curious to know what was that Malibu barbie's reply. We all asked our questions at once without giving him a chance to answer.

"What did she say?" I asked as my curiosity got the best of me.

"I'm sure she said No," Zach said cockily.

"Yes or no?" Eric asked.

"Malibu barbie must've rejected our playboy," Emma shrugged.

"I think it's a yes," Jason said.
