I wiped of the counter tops and swept the kitchen while dancing around to Justin's Christmas album. He was upstairs cleaning the bathrooms. Our annual Christmas party is tonight so we're trying to get everything cleaned up.
After we finished cleaning the house, we both took showers. I was finishing up my hair when Justin walked into the bedroom behind me.
"Babydoll, it's already 4. Everyone's coming at 6. How much do you have left to cook?" He rubbed my shoulders gently.
"Not much. But I do need you to run to the store before they close for the night. I need some sour cream and butterscotch please." I smiled at him in the mirror. He nodded his head and pressed a kiss to the top of my hair.
"I'll be right back. I love you."
"Thank you. I love you more. Be careful." I heard him grab his keys and close the door behind him. I finished up getting ready and went downstairs to stick the cookies in the oven. I was waiting to change into my dress so I didn't ruin it by cooking.
By the time I took the cookies out, Justin was walking into the kitchen setting the bags on the island top.
"I can't believe we're telling them tonight Justin. This is crazy." I said grinning while using a spatula to put the cookies on a platter. He nodded his head smiling.
"Absolutely insane." He agreed watching me carefully.
"Can you mix this powder and the sour cream in a glass bowl? It's the dip for the chips." I scooted the items to the place he was sitting at the island. He nodded and stood up grabbing a bowl. I quickly heated a pot on the stove and poured the butterscotch in. I made the haystacks and placed them on foil to harden.
"Alright princess. I got everything else. It's 5:45 so go ahead and get dressed." Justin's deep voice said from behind me. I nodded my head and kissed his cheek. I felt butterflies in my tummy at the thought of the Christmas announcement we would be making in a few hours.
I changed into my black dress with black tights underneath. I slid on a cute pair of black booties and made sure my hair and makeup still looked okay. I sprayed on a bit of my favorite perfume before going back downstairs to help finish getting everything situated.
Everything was completely ready when I got down to the kitchen.
"Look good baby girl?" Justin's arms slid around me from behind.
"It looks great. Thank you babe." I turned to face him wrapping my arms around his neck. I was about to kiss his irresistible lips when the doorbell rang. I internally panicked as we both walked to open it and let in our first guest.
Finally at around 6:20, everyone was pretty much here so Justin decided to go ahead and make the announcement. He grabbed my hand and we walked up to in front of the fireplace where everyone could see us.
"Uhm me and y/n have an announcement to make. We've kept it kind of a secret because we wanted to make sure everything was good first. Y/n.." he looked at me waiting for me to finish.
"Justin and I are having a baby sometime around June next year." I smiled squeezing his hand. A chorus of 'aw's and other sweet reactions could be heard throughout the living room.
"Was that so bad?" He asked kissing my cheek.
"Not at all but only because I have you beside me. Merry christmas handsome I love you." I kissed his lips.
"Merry Christmas to you and my sweet little one in there. I love you both." He pecked my lips touching my tummy softly.
What would I do without him?
