Cameron
It was soon night time. The pack was already settled in the emergency pack house. Even though it is a little cram, it will do for now.
Blake and I both knew that there was something wrong with Marisa. What she told us just didn't quite add up. So we decided to gather a few of our best trackers and go out into the woods (A/N: If you get it XD) in hopes of finding Ivy.
Ashley knew that we were going to find Ivy and demanded that she went too. She said that it was her fault that Ivy is missing and she should follow us to find her.
No matter how hard we objected, she was persistent. Eventually, we gave up and allowed her to follow. However, Blake made her promise that she will have to stay behind and not do anything that will put her in danger.
We simulated how Marisa could have escaped that day. We also took the route Ashley had taken before she was knocked unconscious. But no matter how hard we tried, all the routes ended up to a dead end.
"Urgh!" I kicked my leg hard against the nearest tree trunk in annoyance. I was starting to lose hope. I couldn't do anything knowing she's in danger. My wolf felt weak and frustrated at the fact that we couldn't even protect the one we love.
Everything we did led us nowhere. This is pointless... Even our best trackers can't seem to find her either. Just as I was about to vent my frustration on another tree, Ethan, our best tracker held up a note while walking towards us.
As soon as he reached us, he started reading the content of the note.
Dear whoever who is reading this,
I know where Ivy is. I'm Luke's mother and I am sincerely apologetic that you all have to go through this. I know you must be puzzled and confused as to why I am writing this but I can't do this anymore. Eddy (Luke's father) is a power crazy man and he wanted Luke to grow up to be an Alpha even though he was not meant to be. I strongly disapprove of his thinking, and wanted to stop him. But it was to no avail as Eddy threatened to reject me as his mate if I were to oppose him. You should know as a werewolf how much that would hurt. Thus, I was extremely afraid and petrified when he said that he was going to do it. Therefore, I decided not to interfere with his plan. After the former Alpha kicked us out of the pack, he had became insane. He wanted revenge. With that being said, enough is enough. We are currently hiding at a hut a hundred miles away from your pack. The reason why you were unable to find us was because there is a witch who is helping us to glamour the place and cover our scents. Her spells are not very strong so if you try hard enough, you will be able to see glitches and smell our faint scents. I'll help you to mark mini crosses on the trees so that you can follow it and find the hut. I hope that you will succeed in saving Ivy and once again I am really sorry for all the pain you have to go through.
Yours faithfully,
Emma
The note gave us all a new hope. We immediately jump into action and started finding marks on the trees. It was tedious but we persevered and kept on tracking.
As I neared a tree, I could smell Ivy's faint scent. My wolf was also getting more and more excited about Ivy's scent.
Ethan spotted the crosses on the trees as mentioned in the note. They were really small... No wonder he was our best tracker.
We followed the crosses on the tree until we were met with a dead end. No more crosses. All we could see are rows and rows of trees everywhere. However, we looked closely and noticed that there were minor glitches.
Though it was at night, and the moonlight was dim, we concentrated and focused hard and eventually, we could see a small hut a few miles away from us.
"Do you think..." Blake started.
"She's there?" I continued.
We both looked at each other. We knew she has to be because that is the last mark.
I was about to run straight to the hut but Blake pulled me back and pointed to the guards patrolling around. Damn it.
There were around 10 of them, all holding some sort of weaponry. Even though we were lacking in numbers, we were confident that we could take all of them down.
So, we gathered together, came up with a plan and ran towards the hut.
I'm coming for you, Ivy.
Ivy
The hell... Is he talking about? Is he... Okay?
He continued on, talking about how much he missed the times he had with Isabelle. About how he used to kissed her good night on her cheek. About how he used to give her piggy backs to and fro the park nearby. About how he loved the times he had spent with us.
I tried to keep my tears at bay, but it was to no avail. I bit my lip, trying to stop myself from sobbing histerically, and I did.
Stop, Ivy. Don't let this get to you. If he really did love you... He wouldn't have done all these horrid things to you for the past few years.
I tried to untie the rope. Pulling and tugging at it. But it was too tight. I'm never getting out of this. I was about to lose all hope when I heard the door slam open.
There in all their bloody glory, stood Cameron, Ashley and Blake. Wait, bloody? What exactly happened?
Cameron took one glance at me and tried to reassure himself that I was fine. He then proceeded to punch Father's face rapidly as Blake and Ashley rush towards me.
I could feel tears brimming again as I smiled at them. They came for me.
Before Blake and Ashley could even reach me, I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. I was about to turn around when I felt the cold tip of a... Gun barrel at my temple. I froze. What the...? Where the hell did this person even come from? Even though my hands were already tied, I dare not move as I feared that the person will pull the trigger.
Blake and Ashley stood in front of me and both of their mouths gaping open and close. If it wasn't for the fact that I have a gun pressed against my temple, I would have burst out laughing. They both look like goldfishes opening and closing their mouth.
No matter how many times they opened and closed their mouth, nothing came out. Cameron sensed the tension in the room and turned to look at us. His eyes widen in surprise and hesitantly said, "Luke...?"
