"It should've been mine! MINE! Aaron being an Alpha is already a mistake. Those b*stards should have been dead! But what did he give them? A f*cking ban? They raped my mate and got away with a ban? The f*ck is wrong with him? And now he leaves the pack to his son to create more chaos. I mean other than your charming looks what else do you have? What else can you do? Are you able to lead well? Taking into account of your Father being the previous Alpha, I doubt so. He couldn't even lead his people well, he was too benign for his own good. The only thing Aaron has ever done as a punishment was to ban people. How is that suppose to teach the rest of his people to be disciplined? How is that --" As Luke ranted on about how my dad was a horrible alpha, his grip on the gun started to loosen and he was no longer paying much attention to Ivy.

I noticed that Ethan had sneaked into the hut and was quietly approaching Luke. I hand signaled to him to take action on the count of three.

When I was done counting to three, Ethan made a dash towards Luke and tried to snatch the gun from him.

"What the--"

Cameron and Ashley ran towards Ivy and went to untie her from the ropes that is binding her hands and legs.

I decided to go and help Ethan out. Just as I was about to reach Ethan, I heard a few shots being fired. I quickly turn towards the direction where the shot was fired and saw my beautiful mate stunned expression as her hand slowly moved to her chest. Blood was slowly seeping through her clothes. 

My chest felt as if someone cut it open, threw a bag of salt and poured lemon juice on the wound.

I couldn't care less about Luke now. All I could think about was my baby, Ashley.I immediately ran towards her and caught her in my arms as she fell backwards. Tears started streaming down my face as I watched spasm of pain contorting her face. I held her close to my embrace and tried to get her eyes to focus on me.

"Baby please don't leave me. I really need you in my life. I can't face the world without you. You are the one that lights my whole world up. We promised to travel the world together... Please beautiful... I love you...." I desperately pleaded.

"I... love you too. But y...you have to let go... I'll be by your side darling don't worry..." She struggled to speak and breathe.

I knew that as much as I hope she would live through this. It is not realistic. The bullet went straight though her chest. Hence, I just hugged her closer to me, planted a soft, feathery kiss on her forehead and sang to her softly.

I saw Ashley's eyes close as she drifted off. Her body relaxed into my arms. I buried my head in her hair and mourned for her death. I then kissed lips and gently laid her on the ground.

Blinded by rage, I immediately charged at Luke. I swung at him multiple times, took the gun from Ethan and pointed at him.

"Well look at you all grown up and finally planning on taking a life. I'm so proud of you. Not a wuss anymore." Luke smirked and spit out blood.

"I can't believe you would actually do that. I even spared your life when you tried to kill me. Why Luke why? I know that Leia's death was my fault and I am really guilty about it. You should have just taken revenge on me and not on my mate you bastard." I choked out.
