It's Time

Chapter 3

I started making a cup of tea, pouring the hot water into the small cup. I slowly began to wake up. The X Factor cafeteria was surprisingly quiet today, only a few people sat scattered around the room sitting at tables. I grabbed a piece of toast and my cup of tea and took a seat at a table by myself.

The rest of the girls were asleep when I left our room. They should be getting up soon so I enjoy the peace why It lasts.

I browsed through twitter scrolling through a lot of positive messages from the fans which made me absentmindedly smile. I followed a couple of people and sipped my tea.

"Morning"

I looked up and saw Harry smiling friendly.

"Morning" I replied returning the smile

"Do you mind if I sit here?" Harry asked politely

"No not at all" I replied as he took a seat sitting across from me. We sat staring at each other awkwardly for a few moments.

"So tell me a little bit about yourself" Harry asked curiously

"Umm well- let me see, originally I'm from Australia I moved here with the girls after we finished year 12."

"Ahhh so that's where the accent comes from" Harry say smiling

"Yep!"

"Anything else?" Harry questions

"Nothing I can think of! I'm pretty boring really"

"I highly doubt it!" Harry teases, I giggle.

"Anything I should know about you?" I ask Harry and take a sip of my like warm tea.

"Nope!" Harry says popping the 'p'.

Harry and I spoke for ages. We spoke about anything and everything. He spoke about the X Factor and his family. We laughed loads, Harry has so many stories about touring around the world. I look down at the time

9:00!

"Oh crap!" I say

"I'm really sorry Harry I have to go! I'm late for band rehearsal" I say as I collected my things and got up from the table. I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear that hung in my face.

"Oh that's fine!" Harry said understandingly. I smiled and quickly walked away

"Umm- Hey Lara?" Harry called out. I turned around quickly to face Harry.

"Do you ummm- want to catch up later?" Harry stuttered nervously a side of him I wasn't used to.

"Yeah maybe" I say biting my lip trying to play hard to get.

"Okay cool" he replied in his husky tone. I turned away butterflies filling my stomach a smile spreading across my face as a skipped down the halls to band practise.

I opened the door nervous to what the girls would say.

"Where have you been missy?" Beth exclaimed. I didn't know how to respond, what do I say?

"I- umm was with Harry" I reply nervously as I look down at my shoes

"OMG! WHAT?" Hannah screeches as she jumped up off of her chair and sprinted towards me and practically jumped on me.

"Calm down! I was just eating breakfast and Harry decided to join me. I guess we just got carried away talking" I said with a smirk

"And?" Tealiah questioned

"Well he asked if I wanted to hang out later" I said almost squealing my self. Hannah started jumping up and down as well as the rest of the girls. We were all in a group huddle squealing and jumping up and down in excitement.

"I hope you said yes!" Emily yells at me

"Well yeah but I'm not going to get serious. I mean our career is just about to kick off and having a boyfriend won't do it any good!" I explained to the girls. They all scoffed and rolled their eyes before they all sat down in a circle. We then started rehearsal, Harry in the back of my mind.
