Hello my chouquettes! Story is up and first chapter is posted. This chapter is long because it's the intro so please bear with me.
I tried to make this in the Middle East but I feel like I have shamefully messed up the culture. My apologies...
Please review and feel free to comment. I'd love some feedback!

SabaaH al-khayr = goodmorning
SabaaH an-nuur = morning of light (common arabic greetings)
__________________________ The early morning sun could be seen through the white curtains on the palace window and seagulls could be heard faintly in the distance. The people in the outside markets could be heard selling their goods and the ships came into port. The town was always busy with the various shops and street performers. Rahm Ahba was greatly known to be a big trading post as well as a strong military fortress and was very wealthy. The capital was greatly populated and that's where the palace was built. A young blonde handmaiden made her way down the stone halls to a room and lightly knocked on the door. When she heard no answer, she opened the door quietly and peeked in the room. Still laying in the bed on the ground, a head of sea blue hair was found amidst the blanket covering the small body.

"Princess it's time to start the day," the blonde start softly as she tried to wake the sleeping woman. When only a few groaning sounds came out of the blunette's mouth, the blonde woman became a little more irritated and shook her more roughly this time. "Levy it is time to get up," she said with a little more force. Finally, the blue head turned over to reveal half opened hazel eyes as the handmaiden stood up and started to set some clothes on the back of a chair.

"Lucy what time is it? Why are you waking me up so early?" Levy said trying to rub the sleepiness from her eyes. Huffing slightly, Lucy walked over and stood the princess up so she could brush her shoulder length blue curls. "It's almost time for your breakfast and I didn't wake you up early. I woke you up at the same time I woke you up yesterday and the day before that Princess," Lucy said starting to detangle the blue curls. "Oh." was all the small blue headed woman could say as she left her handmaiden prepare her for the day.

She got dressed into white flown pants that were tapered around her ankles and a long dark blue tunic shirt that went down to her waist and laced up covered her neck with no sleeves since it was in the middle of summer. She took to more of the oriental style clothing from her few trips to Asia. She put on two gold bracelets on her upper right arm and one more on her wrist. On her left arm a small gold chain was wrapped around her upper arm with another gold chain that dipped and then came back up to connect with the wrapped around chains. She wore a simple gold ankle bracelet only little face jewelry. Like the rest of her family, she didn't like getting all dolled up just because she was royalty. Unlike the other princess' she had met at different occasions, she liked to go out in the village and meet new people and spend time with the villagers. She rarely wore shoes and preferred comfort over beauty. Everyone knew her and treated her with respect but didn't treat her very differently.

Lucy, wearing simple but extravagant set at clothes, helped her with her ear jewelry and then tidied up her room before they both went down for the morning meal. Lucy parted with her by bowing and went to the kitchen to help prepare the food. Levy went down to join her father and mother and sat to the left of her father and across her mother.

"SabaaH al-khayr Father, SabaaH al-khayr Mother," the Princess spoke as she sat down and began to put various foods on her dining plate. Everything looked so tasty and the princess' stomach growled in agreement. "SabaaH an-nuur," the King and Queen replied back in unison. Nether one of them took their eyes off of what they were doing. Her mother, Queen Porlyuisca, was sewing a new head scarf and her father, King Gildarts, was reading the daily newspaper. Levy started to eat because she knew that she would need the energy if she was going to be back in the village all day. "What are your plans today?" asked the King putting down the paper so he could get his cup and drink the wine from it. "Well Father, I was thinking of going back to the potter I visited in the market and seeing about those clay pots I looked at yesterday. Why did you need me?" Levy asked, pausing and setting her utensil down. "You must come with me to an important meeting today," answered King Gildarts as he took the daily mail from the servant and started to open the letters.

"But I have never attended one of your meetings, why should I today?" asked the very confused princess. She thought all of his meeting were about voting business things and she was not interested. The King chuckled slightly and took another sip from his gold cup and said rather nonchalantly, "Because you are arranged to marry the Prince of Bahraj." Levy almost spit the water out of her mouth as she stared wide eyed at her father, still trying to process what he had just said.

He speaks of arranged marriage?!!
