The next morning a tired Princess made her way to the dining room and plopped herself down, half asleep. "Princess, that's why you don't stay out so late. Something could have happened to you," Lucy scolded quietly. Light conversation filled the room as everyone sat for the morning meal. "I was with Gajeel and I can take care of myself," the blunette answered trying to get the sleep out of her eyes. "With Gajeel huh?" Lucy smirked winking. "Stop it!" Levy whispered, hiding her blush. Their attention was brought to the conversation of the Prince and the King.

"Father I'm thinking of going out into the village again to see if any more of those thugs have showed up." "Can I come with?" Levy interrupted. Everyone's turned to her and Gajeel silently prayed that he wouldn't have to spend the day with an annoying child. "It's too dangerous for someone so fragile as you," Gajeel said looking annoyed. He really just wanted her out of his mind so he could focus on his training. Levy glared at him but didn't back away. "You think because I'm small that I can't handle a few thugs?" she asked as her arms crossed over her small chest. Gajeel laughed and mocked, "They'd probably think you were a child!"

That does it. Levy stood up and marched over to where the still laughing prince was and punched him square in the jaw. He fell out of his chair as the King tried to stifle his laughter. Everyone just sat there, not knowing what to do. "Still think I'm a child now?" Levy put emphasis on the child part and turned on her heel starting to march away. If it's one thing I can't stand, its people mocking my height. I can't help my genetics thank you very much. Who does he think he is?? He clearly thinks too highly of himself. Levy angrily marched to her room with Lucy behind her frantically trying to calm the princess down.

Gajeel just laid there still holding his throbbing jaw. He looked at his father who was still laughing at the past events. Gajeel laid down on the cold stone floor and started to laugh too. She didn't have to go that far but damn she can hit hard. Wonder
where she learned that. What is her problem? "Good luck with that," Gajeel's father said, smirking and still trying not to laugh too hard. "Tch." Gajeel scoffed and headed towards the palace doors. He was so annoyed that he didn't realize that Pantherlily had changed into his human form and was trying to get his attention. "Gajeel!" Lily snapped receiving the dragon slayers attention. "What do you want ya damned cat?" Gajeel scowled and started preparing his things to go out into the village. "I think you should take Levy out with you into the village. You can use this time to get to know her and besides she may not be as 'terrible' as you say."

"Why? I don't see why I have to get to know her. She seems fine on her own." Pantherlily frowned, "She's going to be your wife soon so shape up and stop being an asshole." Gajeel raised an eyebrow and sighed dramatically. "Fine, but I can't guarantee anything." Pantherlily smiled and went to go fetch the Princess.

Damn all of this.

After a while of waiting Gajeel noticed a head of blue hair skipping towards him with a big grin on her face. "Ready to go," she said tying her cloak together. Gajeel just rolled his eyes but walked out with the small mage anyway. They walked in silence at first but it wasn't as awkward as Levy assumed it was going to be. The street was narrow because of all the markets and it was hard to move through the tight crowd on the uneven stone walkway.

Gajeel bought things from the street venders and Levy conversed with the villagers and decided to buy a few trinkets for herself to match some of her outfits she wore. Levy was happily enjoying being outside of her room for once because she didn't get a lot of freedom or alone time outside the place. The script mage felt comfortable in the village and safe in the company of a dragon slayer. She looked to see that Gajeel had bought some basic cooking ingredients and few beautiful colorful tapestries.

Since she was walking behind him all she could see was his long hair over his back. She could barely make out his toned muscles against his tight shirt and she kind of wished she could touch them. Levy what is wrong with you! She had read a lot of romance novels and hadn't really thought of anything like marriage before. She especially hadn't thought about how she was supposed to marry them man in front of her. She also hadn't thought about how marriage included doing that.... Levy stop thinking such perverse thoughts!! The small blunette quickly hid the blush on her cheeks and physically shook her head.

She hadn't realized it but she had actually been staring at him for a while. "Like what you see shrimp?" Gajeel asked smirking as Levy came back to reality and almost slapped him across the face out of embarrassment. "My name is Levy." She huffed as she tried to will away the now blazing heat on her face. Don't get the wrong idea Redfox. Gajeel chuckled as he continued to saunter down the pathway.

After stopping at a place to eat, the pair ended back at the palace and Levy left to go to her chambers to prepare for the evening meal. Lucy helped her get dressed into comfortable but stylish clothes and put on some different jewelry. Levy explained to her handmaiden all that had happened that day and the blonde couldn't help but think what a cute couple the two would be. As the blunette got dressed into her evening attire, Lucy summoned her celestial key, Virgo to help clean up the room. Lucy had different spirit keys where she could summon any spirit to help in the situation. Since they had been in Bahraj, Lucy noticed that Levy had not been wearing much flashy clothing and rather more comfortable clothing that suited her style. Well if is one thing Levy knows, it's not how to flirt. Lucy laughed to herself but kept her thoughts to herself. I guess they will figure it out one day.

When everyone in the household had gathered for dinner, Levy started to yawn because of the long walk that she had done earlier that day. She decided the recall the events of the day, replaying them in her mind. Thinking back at that horrific embarrassing time when Gajeel had caught her staring, she actually stopped to look at the young Prince. She subtly threw glances at the distracted Prince as she ate her delicious dinner. Definitely tall. Crimson red eyes that pierce through your entire being and cut your soul in half. Messy black long mane which is actually pretty attractive. Built and very toned, probably works out a lot. Permanent scowl. Actually kinda of handsome. Levy mentally slapped herself at thinking such things. What are you doing Levy! Don't think your falling for him. You are a strong independent woman who don't need no man. Levy hates how confusing her emotions were and was mentally frustrated all day.

After a while, King Metallicana spoke up, "Everyone I have a quick announcement to make." Silence fell upon the table as everyone's attention fell on the King. "To celebrate my 52 birthday, a grand party will be held soon. I've already sent out invitations to neighboring royalty but we must begin preparing. It will happen in three days time and I need to get a few things ready." The King ended his small speech with a hearty laugh as the whole room broke out in a utter excitement. Levy and Lucy couldn't help their squealing as Lucy started rambling at what Levy was going to wear and how there would be so many handsome Prince's. Levy just rolled her eyes and started to laugh at her friends thoughts.

Maybe this won't be terrible.
