I ran to Lockheart's class passing by so many people along the way. Almost running into them, but I didn't. I ran almost halfway there when I realized that Liza wasn't there. I left her! I kept running though. I didn't wanna run into Draco. I ran in the class doors to see Snape sitting in his chair.
"Sir," I whispered walking up to his desk, "where are our seating arrangements?"
"Miss Potter, if you will sit down, there will be no special seating for anyone in this class. Which for you means you don't get to sit by anyone in Slytherin," he said in a cheery voice walking around watching from different angles.
Honestly, I didn't mind.
"As long as I'm not with Draco I mumbled as I caught a smirk from him. Which was eerily creepy enough as it was. I quickly walked to a seat and sat down. I noticed Liza ran into the room with Harry.
Good! She found her way to class!
"I'm so sorry," I sighed as she laughed.
"It's not a problem, Harry helped me here, I introduced myself and told him I was a friend of yours and he walked me to the class. He's really kind."
"Thanks, Harry," I sighed as he caught my look of dread and put his hand on my arm.
"Are you okay?" He asked as I shrugged.
"What's the matter?"
"It's nothing, in just not feeling too good," I sighed as everyone began to take their seats. I sat my head down on the desk quietly as Lockheart started to talk.
He cleared his throat and grabbed a copy of Travels with Trolls, and held it a little above his head.
"Me," he said proudly. "Gilderoy Lockheart, Order of Merlin, Third Class," he said as I yawned and lied my head down. This was going to be a long class. "Honorary Member of the Dark Force Defence League-- and five times winner of the which weekly's Most-Charming-Smile Award," he said.
I groaned once more. How can this get any worse? The girls sighed a loving sigh. He was a poser. Also, he was at least old enough to be every girl's father.
"But I don't talk about that," he said.
"Really?" I asked, "cause you just did."
I pulled my hands up to my mouth. What's gotten into me?
He pulled his opposite side of the elbow up to his mouth to cough, "Miss Potter, detention," he said as oohed.
"I see you've all bought a complete set of my books-- well done. I thought we'd start today with a little quiz. Nothing to worry about-- just to check how well you've read then, how much you've taken in-"
He began to hand out test papers as I looked to Hermione.
Bet she enjoyed this. She loved classes more than anything. Especially tests.
"You have thirty minutes-- start-- now!"
I looked at the paper to read a few of the questions.
1. What is Gilderoy Lockheart's favorite color?
What?
2. What is Gilderoy Lockheart's secret ambition?
Annoy his students that actually don't like him and want him to actually die.
