I sat down in the Slytherin common room watching the fire as it crackled and danced in the fireplace. I shivered down into my coat and wrapped it around me. I looked around the room. Geronimo lied in my lap and purred as I glazed over at the fire. We both seemed comfortable in where we were and had no intentions of moving anytime soon. However, with all of the chattering that was occurring in the common room made me want to go to my room and stay away. I sighed as the portrait door opened.

"Nova!" Liza said running over to me.

"What?" I groaned.

"Harry and Ron wish to see you," she smiled.

"Don't do all there work for them, they make you sound like an owl," I said as she bit her lip. I sighed, "where are they at?"

"The Hospital," She smiled.

"Their seeing Hermione. Wish to come along?" I asked as she smiled and took my arm.

"I certainly wish so!" She smiled as we skipped all the way there. We finally got to the doors where Madam Pomfrey stopped us.

"Were still coming to see Miss Granger, m'am," I smiled sweetly as she nodded. Walking out of the infirmary was Draco as I gave him a face. He shook his head and walked off. I waltzed in as Ron and Harry walked in in front of me. I continued to look at Draco as he walked off. What would have have been doing in here?

I shook my head and walked in the hospital wing. I coughed as Harry rolled his eyes to look at me and then stopped to think of what he would say next.

"Nova, we're so sorry," Harry said.

"Harry, it's fine," I smiled as I walked over to them, "found anything yet?"

"Not at all," Ron sighed, "I wish Hermione was here, she'd know exactly what to do."

"Yes," Liza joined in as Harry looked at her. I tried not to let out a laugh thinking of my dream and how I implied that Ron loved Hermione, heck I implied it with everything. It was obvious, right?

Harry's gaze at Liza was unsettling and awkward as I shook my head.

"My carry on tonight," I smiled.

I sighed as Harry walked over to Hermione, he grabbed her hand but he pulled away to reveal a piece of parchment. He then unwadded it to see a picture of a huge snake.

"What's that?" Harry said.

"I-I think it's a clue, Harry look!" I ordered. I stumbled over and read it.

"This is what Hermione was attacked by!" Harry started.

"What is it?" Both Liza and Ron said.

"Of many beasts that roam the land- none is more deadly then the Basilisk," Harry started, "capable of living for hundreds of years."

"Instant death to those whom meet this deadly snakes yellow eyes," I said as we went out to a new corridor, "--spiders flee before it. This is it! The monster of the Chamber of Secrets!"

"That is why we can hear it, Nova," Harry said.

"But if it kills by looking people in the eye, why is it no ones dead?" Ron asked.
Liza smirked.

"I can be of help of that," She smiled, "nobody officially looked it in the eye."

"That's right, the day Emily got attacked there was water on the floor. Same with Miss Norris. Collin saw it though his camera, the Hufflepuff-- Justin saw it though Sir Nick. Sir Nick just saw it, but he can't die twice could he? And our sweet Hermione saw it though her own little mirror. I'm unaware how Joy saw it-"
