(Alex’s POV)

            Derek and I really had a heart to heart talk after my little crying spell, and he was excited that I wanted to go see Rosie and he was dying to meet her too. She was my half-sister. Joe and Nick got home late that night, and were glad that we finally talked. Dad even called to tell us that he and Frank got to Kevin and Dani’s, were going to help clean up the place, and then come back tomorrow afternoon to help me with my mom’s apartment.

            The next morning, I got up from the guest room bed that Nick let us stay in, and went to freshen up, and I went to the kitchen to see Nick sitting at the bar with a cup of coffee and reading some music sheets that he was holding up.

            "Morning," I smiled going over to get me some water.

            "Morning," he smiled at me and went back to reading.

            "New stuff?" I asked.

            "Ya, just something came up and I wanted to write it down before I forget it."

            "I bet it's going to be a hit," I smiled going over to sit down beside him.

            "You think so?" he asked looking at me.

            I laughed, "Hey, have I ever been wrong?"

            He chuckled, "No." He then looked at the paper again and then surprised me by asking, "So? How is your second album coming along?"

            I was in shock, "How did you know?"

            "Well, I saw the papers in the music room with my guitar, and too, David and Mitch called me. Said that they heard the news about your mom and was sorry, and are on their way over here to help you clean up and maybe if you have some time and feel up to it, you three can write some more."

            "Oh..." I said looking at my glass. "I've been just so busy and with mom..." I sighed. "I haven't wrote anything since two months ago, until something came to me last night I had to write it down before I forgot."

            "Anything I could do to help?" he asked with a smile.

            I smiled, "I would love your help."

            "Great..." he leaned over and kissed my cheek, “Go get cleaned up and dressed.”

            "Why?"

            "Because David and Mitch will be here in 15 minutes," he smirked.
