Chapter 4

(Derek’s POV)

            I was worried about Alex, but she did need some space after Mr. Trump and Mr. Jonas agreed that she needed space for a few, and let her come to all of us when she wanted to talk. And believe me; I was ready to be there in line along with her brothers and parents.

            We all sat there in the meeting room after the attorney left the office and Mike and his dad went back to work since they did have some clients coming to visit them. Mr. Trump agreed to answer any questions that we all had since Mr. Jonas, Kevin, and I did sit here and listen to the will reading.

            “What does Alex do with her share of the company?” Mr. Jonas asked.

            “Well, it is up to her. She either can keep it, or sell it to me, and I will make sure that she gets a far amount for it if she goes that route,” Mr. Trump said.

            “Her share of the company?” Joe asked surprised.

            “I thought that you owed it Mr. Trump?” Nick asked with a puzzled look.

            “Well, apparently, Alex mom owned a quarter of it,” Kevin spoke up. “I guess her dad forgot that her mom owned part of it.”

            “Did you even know about it sir?” Denise asked him.

            “Of course, she made sure that I was aware of it, but just never told both Mr. Parkers about it until she was gone and her will was read.”

            “I take it that they’re not very happy about it,” Nick smirked.

            “No, they are not. They will try anything to make sure that I own it because Mike has been saving up and trying to buy back the company.”

            “Mike is?” we asked surprise.

            Mr. Trump nods, “Yes. He came to me asking for a price, and I told him the cost, and he’s straight minded that he’s going to ask for it back. And now there is Alex’s share… he knows that it’s going to be more.”

            I thought about it. “What happens if she doesn’t sell it?”

            “Well, she does get to make the choices along with me on it.”

            I nodded. It all made sense of it all that Alex once again and for real, thanks to her mother, she owes some of Parker and Parker.
