A lot of the people passing by in the hallways were quite surprised to see Edward Barber, newcomer star player of the football team, crouching behind a corner, studiously looking at the Section A senior's door. The girls kept calling out to him, saying hi, which made Edward Barber express annoyance; he'd be found out by Kisses and her groupies the moment the were coming out of the classroom. He'd been plotting out Kisses' daily routine. It was a pain in the ass but he had to stand by his words to Heaven, who was now looking darkly at Kisses every time they passed by each other in the hallways, which made the latter very confused.

Finally, the Journalism Club started dispersing, now he only had to wait to get Kisses alone.

Which took a lot of time considering a lot of people never seemed to stop having something to talk to her about. He was just walking behind Kisses, and her many student fans, a few meters away. When finally, he had her alone.

As Kisses was nearing the parking lot she felt someone was following her. Only a few people were left in the school now, and Manong Bert had texted beforehand that he was stuck in traffic and would be a little late. She hadn't thought anything about it, but now that someone was surely following her it will be remembered as one of the factors that contributed to her death.

Kisses walked a little bit faster, and heard the stranger's steps go faster. All she could hear now was the beat of her heart, her quick breathing, and a strange pounding in her ears. She started praying the rosary in her mind.

'Lord, if you could hear me now, please don't let me die.'

She felt a hand grip her arm tightly and forcefully turn her around.

'Aaaargh!' Kisses shut her eyes tightly and screamed. The stranger covered her mouth to shut her up. Still Kisses screamed even when her voice was muffled.

"Kisses! Shut up!" she heard a masculine voice say.

Kisses opened her eyes a little bit.

And saw the handsome face of Edward Barber, the new student, glaring at her.

"Oh! Hi Edward!" she cheerfully said out of relief that it wasn't actually some stranger out to kill her.

Edward Barber was still glaring at her, and come to think of it, was still holding her arms and was invading her personal space, considering that this was the first time that they've talked to each other. She felt her smile slide off her face.

"Um, what can I do for you?"

Edward smiled. Actually no, it wasn't a smile. It was a mischievous smirk. As if she had asked the perfect question. She was really close to him right now, and she could see all the little imperfections on Edward Barber's face up close. He had a few freckles scattered on his nose and under his eyes, a little mole below his left cheek, he had light brown eyes, thick, unruly eyebrows. It made her think that all of these little imperfections were actually added up to become one big perfect Edward Barber Face TM. She felt her heart acting up again. What was wrong with her today?

"Straight to the point, aren't you?" Edward said, still smirking.

"Huh?" Kisses had a feeling that she'd missed something. Maybe Edward said something while she was staring at him. Something important. Oh God, she'll look like she wasn't listening. She'll look like she was staring at him. He'd think she had a crush on him. Think of something Kisses!

"Yes, of course!" Kisses said.

Edward Barber raised one thick eyebrow, "What?"

Kisses was grasping at straws, "Yes, I'll do it, what you asked."
