Author's Note: I watched Loving in Tandem at the cinema today. This chapter is for the moments during the movie that Edward and Kisses looked at each other. I was.... Electrified!

Chapter 8

That night, Kisses had already spent an hour just pacing back and forth in her room.

'Sigurado ka bang pretend relationship lang kayo ni Edward, beshie?' her mini devil smirked.

Kisses stopped pacing, 'I'm not waiting for his call.'

'Liar,' her mini angel accused.

'And such a bad one at that, too,' her mini devil tutted disappointedly.

Kisses ignored her when she heard her mini angel hum a song that suspiciously sounded like Selena Gomez' Bad Liar. Her cellphone suddenly rang. Kisses hurried to her vanity table to answer her phone.

Kisses looked at the caller ID, 'It's Edward, what do I do?'

'Let the phone ring three times, we don't want him to think were easy to get,' her mini devil advised.

Kisses waited for the third ring before answering, "Hello? This is Kisses."

Edward's annoyed drawl came through, "We're you doing that thing girls do where they answer the phone late so the guy won't think they're easy to get?"

Kisses' eyes widened like a deer caught in headlights, "No?"

Edward huffed, "Good, I hate those kinds of girls. On this day and age and with social media, I really want to interact with someone authentic and genuine you know."

'He sounds like an old man. His forehead is full of wisdom,' her mini devil sarcastically quipped.

Kisses replied, "I know, me too."

"Anyway, what'cha doin' right now?" Edward's british accent came out from saying a phrase he probably always asked his friends in Germany.

Both her mini angel and devil swooned at his accent.

Kisses blushed, "Nothing actually. I've finished all our assigned school work."

She could her the smirk in Edward's voice, "Oh, so you were just waiting for my call?"

Kisses' blush intensified, "N-No! I wasn't! I-I-I was, I was playing with my dog!"

Edward's interest was caught, "You have a dog?! That's cool, Babe! Can you bring him with us to the park this weekend?"

'Patay na!' her mini angel panicked.

'Okay, stay cool. And calmly stall him,' her mini devil advised.

Kisses cleared her throat and said, "Uhm, huh?"

Both her mini angel and devil slapped their foreheads and hung their heads in shame.

Edward was undeterred, "It'd be so cool to play Frisbee with your dog as a warm up before I play with Marco. Is it a toy dog? Or one of the larger ones? Coz we'd need a larger Frisbee, Babe. You know I'd always wanted to have a dog, but back in Germany my parents weren't sure if I could handle the responsibility of being a dog owner. My attention would be torn between a dog and playing football all the time. It's really good that you already own one, I'm so excited to meet him this weekend!"

Kisses was so guilty already, "Uhm, Edward actually..."

"Yeah, babe?"

Kisses just couldn't bear to let him down after she got his hopes up, "He's a golden retriever!"
