Dim World

Nathan appears before me, just like last time. "Who's next?" I asked.

"Luke," Nathan replies, "the God of Light. May be a tricky one. However, you have defeated his brother... and his wife. So he's either going to have no moral, or completely destroy you. Either way, I'm sure you can handle it. One thing though, you may be having these visions. Do not under any circumstances trust your visions or the words of the Gods. They wish to deceive you. Their goal is to stop us from saving the world. You and me pal, we're going places. Just like in the old days. However now is not a good time to get sentimental. There are still four beings left. Four more you must kill. The worst ones for you are probably going to be, hmmmm... well you can probably handle most of them really. The only one I really see you having an issue with Festo. However, by the time you face Festo, your sword will be so powerful no one will be able to stop you. Just make sure you kill Festo last. Now, I have business to attend to. Oh, and one last thing, the gods may speak of something they call 'the other side'. The other side is a dangerous place. It is equivalent to Hell. I have seen those on the other side. They're the ones who fucked up our world. Festo, he is from the other side. This is why he is the most dangerous. Above all else no matter what happens, if you ever have a vision of an orange room, you are to take your own life on the spot. No hesitation as it means you are tainted by the other side. That clear buddy?"

Yeah, I'm not doing that. "Got it," I lie, "so where's Luke?"

"They're really giving us the runaround," Nathan explains, "head south from here."

"Let me guess," I smile, "more tumbleweeds and barren landscapes?"

Nathan chuckles. "Totally," he replies, "good luck man."

Nathan disappears. Could the singer be from the other side? It kinda adds up, considering how I've never actually seen them. Guess I can't trust them after all.

So that's how Nathan wants it to be. Between you and me reader I know you're there. Nathan's lying about the other side. In truth those on the other side were meant to save this world. However things went south. The reason I'm telling you this, is this: someone has come to my world. This being knows Nathan's true intentions. However, I do not know his true intentions. Wait, wait a minute, that's him! Well shit I got to go! I can explain more in the future for now know this: Nathan is not what he seems. However I am not either. There is more to both of us than meets the eye. One thing you need to know though, is that Nathan has origins relating to the other side... anyways enjoy the rest of the slaughter fest.  Probably not what you were expecting, but it's what you got. I continue towards Luke. The singer appears to have gone silent for short time. Mayhaps  that other business to attend to? As I walk I began to notice something. The sun still provides light, but there is no shade. Where there would normally be shade, there is only a dim light, a pale light. It would appear that darkness no longer exists. I say good riddance. Just makes my life easier. Now it is time to continue my work. I'd imagine Luke would be somewhere around here.

"Murderer!" A voice cries.
