I watched as Chiron's eyes widened and flickered with fear.
"I haven't spent enough time on earth to know if it's only when I'm with my father, but I don't age and neither does my mentality. I'm still a fifteen-year-old at heart but I have lived over five decades."
He stroked his beard as he processed the information I told him.
"I suppose," he mused. "You can go into the Hades cabin and start settling in."
"Will Nico know that I am not actually his brother?" I asked.
"That depends solely upon you," he said.
I nodded, deep in thought. I couldn't lie about being his brother. It would devastate him when he found out.
And I do mean when. I was never best with secrets.
I looked to Chiron. "I trust I will be speaking to you again."
I then turned and left him, on a mission to get out of this building as I had no idea how I came in.
A door, most likely, I thought rather snidely.
I don't know how long I wandered the halls of the house but I finally managed to find the way out.
The sun had begun setting over the strawberry fields indicating I had spent at least two hours indoors.
A conch horn blew in the distance and people started to appear from their activities.
Must be dinner time, I thought.
My stomach rumbled at the idea of food. I hadn't eaten since yesterday morning and even then it was a scarce meal.
I observed the other campers as they lined up, by cabin it seemed. I looked for Nico, trying to ignore the whispers floating around me.
Rumors run quick here.
I spotted Nico with the blonde medic from earlier. Will, I think his name was.
Nico had his hand placed on Will's face as he whispered to him. Will smiled down at him, his arms snaked around Nico's waist.
I smiled and looked away, feeling intrusive in their moment.
I looked around at the people gathering in the commons area.
Whispers were still swirling in the air as they all proceeded to stare at me in a scrutinizing way.
I was about to slink back into the shadows of the woods when a voice called out to me.
"Cleo!" Annabeth yelled from across the body of campers. She waved me over to where she, Percy, and two other campers were standing.
I started slowly walking towards them, hands in the pockets of my jeans. I felt the cool metal of the key my father had given me brush against my skin.
I smiled slightly as I stopped in front of the four.
I glanced at the two unfamiliar demigods out of the corner of my eye.
One was a girl, the other a guy. They each had one arm around each other's waist.
The girl looked to be Native American, with naturally tan skin and her dark hair French braided. She was wearing an orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt, blue jeans with holes in the knees, and a pair of tennis shoes. She had the makings of a daughter of Aphrodite.
