Nicks POV

ugh. She was SOOO dramatic. But really, what girl isn't? She made a big deal about freaking nothing.

And I didn't even get anywhere in my project! She didn't even help me!

I pulled out my iPhone and called the only person I could talk to right now, Will.

Ring ring ring ring!

"yo what's shaking man?" will greeted.

"hey dude. How's it going" I replied

"modern warfare three. That's what's up. You?"

"nah, dude. I'm so tired. And Brooke just freaking stormed out my door,"

"Why was Brooke over?" will asked.

"because of our AP Algebra project.I said something and she got all mad and ran out. We didn't even do any work! "

"well what did you say?"

"just...stuff"

"Come on, Walker, work with me here. What KIND of stuff?"

"i said that she should already be over what happened in freshman year, and she got all mad because I said that I didn't see why she was lecturing me. She was like "you're not the schools golden boy, and not everyone adores me". Everyone loves me, right Will?" I asked.

"hello?" I uttered after Will didn't say anything back.

"helllooooo?"

"HOW CAN YOU BE SO ARROGANT AND SUCH A JERK TO BROOKE?" will screamed into the phone. Whoa.

"didn't you realize that she never wanted to come over your house? Didn't you realize that not everyone loves you? Don't you know that Brooke wants NOTHING to do with you anymore?NOTHING? It was pure unfortunate luck that she got paired up with you for your stupid project. She doesn't want to be friends with you again. She wants nothing to do with you and wants you to stay out of her life. And if you think that what you did to her freshman year will all be erased and started with a clean slate again, your WRONG. I like you for who you are, but you have no right to behave that way with Brooke. Not after what you have done to her. And yea, we're bros and all that, but bros need to tell each other the truth. and you deserve to know what I think. I've never said anything to you about this whole situation, and I've remained friends with you AND Brooke over all these years, but lo and behold, here's what I think now. This is what I think about you and Brooke's relationship. I think that you were and are a jerk to her, and you left her because you wanted popularity. The only reason I am still friends with her is because I'm not a douche like you. I still value her for who she is, unlike you. I don't care that she's not at the top of the social ladder, I'm friends with her because I like her for who she is. Ad you abandoned her, not ever thinking about what she must be feeling, just thinking about yourself. And you, Nick Walker, are a douche. this is the truth, and unless you're willing to change, you're never ever going to get Brooke to be friends with you EVER AGAIN," he said.

"oooookkkk, I don't know what to say to that," I said slowly.

"how bout sorry?"

"oooookkkk, sorry?" I said

"not to me, you douchebag, to Brooke. And lemme tell you. Knowing her, she won't accept your sorry in one go. She's too stubborn. You have to make it up to her,"

"yea I kinda got that part already. Thanks for the advice man," I replied

"No problem, brah. Sorry I threw a hissy fit at you. It's just this has been bothering me since freshman year and I didn't know how to tell you how I felt. I guess It just kinda exploded,"

"Nahh, man, I deserved it. Thanks anyways. Bye,"

"Later," Will replied.

I blew out a huge breath as I pressed the end button on my iPhone.

Jeez, what was with everyone today? Why was everyone getting mad at me?

Because you're a jerk to Brooke and you're arrogant and immature, thinking that everyone worships you. Because you live in a fantasy world and reality is going to hot pretty soon and youre not gonna be ready to face it, my inner self said.

I am! Im trying to help you realize what you've done wrong and I'm trying to help you fix your mistakes. There's still a second chance to make things up with brooke, and this AP algebra project is just your ticket. Just don't miss the train again. It won't stop at this platform ever again. Wow. Maybe my inner self was right sometimes!!!! It actually made sense! Looking back at my actions over most of freshman year and all of shophmore year and this year, I realize that I've been a major jerk and douchbag to everyone. I've only been seeking popularity.

And I'm going to win back Brooke's friendship.
