"Honey, you ready to go?"

"Yea mom, one second."

As I slipped on my flats I hopped into the front seat. My mom was already in the driver's seat patiently waiting.

"Lets go, I'm so excited. My daughter is going to find her mate in just a few days!"

But he could be dead, he could be a rouge, he could rejected me, or just maybe accept me. But that would be a 1/10 chance for him to accept someone as ugly as me.

Then my mom started to drive. The music being blasted was called 'faded and fucking perfect mash-up' as what my mom told me.

What the song is called, if you wanted to know. Do you like the song even being played or listening to it?

My mom's head was bobbing to the music while my foot tapped along to the beat. She turned and smiled at me when the car was stopped by the red light.

"Isn't the song good? When I was your age I would listen to this song 24/7."

"Really?"

"Yea. It defined me at that time, I guess it helped me move forward in life."

"Cool."

The rest of the ride was silent, except the fact a song was the only noise noticeable in the car. As my mom pulled into a parking spot, we opened the doors.

"Aren't you excited to find a mask for the Masquerade Ball? We'll buy you whatever mask you want!" She finally spoken.

"Yea I guess."

As my mom and walked into 'Macy' we went into the section with the dresses, shoes, mask, etc.

As I passed a shelf that was displayed something that looked golden, I retreated my footsteps.

What I saw was beautiful. It was golden mask with the mask being decorated with small diamonds and rubies on it.

As my mom reached towards me, she pointed at the mask.

"Want to buy that?" She asked.

"No, I mean yes. If you could I mean."

"I'll ask."

As she walked alway I overheard a woman's voice coming near me.

"Are you going to buy that mask hon?"

"Um, yes. Yes I am." I confidently said without looking at her.

"Oh course! A beautiful girl deserves a beautiful mask! Bye hon."

Has she seen my face yet?

"Okay, thank you." I whispered.

As I heard her footsteps become softer, my mom came over with a store clerk.

'Sarah' the name tag said.

"There's the mask! Could you tell me how much it cost also?"

"Sure, one second." As Sarah checked with her scanner, she finally answered "$179.99."

That was a lot of money. Don't buy it mom, the mask isn't worth it for someone like me.

"Wonderful! I will buy it!"

"Okay, I'll check it out for you."

When Sarah had finished, she handed us the bag. My mom and I started walking towards the exit.

"Now you got your whole outfit ready if you have chooses the dress, shoes, and jewelry already."

"Yea, I know exactly what to wear." I answered truthfully.

"Good, now lets go home!"

We had no where else to go anyways.

"Okay."

The same song was played again when we drove home. The song seemed like it was repeating many times, but it was good still. It was like me, except the fact the song said I was perfect. Because we all know the truth, I am not perfect. I am not even pretty I'll admit.

"Honey, we're home."

"Thanks, I'll be in my room."

"When are you never?" My mom joked.

I frowned. I wasn't always in my room, just most of the time.

I ran upstairs with the bag in my hand.

I opened the closet door until I found what I wanted, the golden-colored dress and high heels I got for my 17th birthday which was last year. I'm 18 right now.

My parents had told me when I find my mate I will be Luna for this pack. Too bad my mate will most likely reject me. In fact, I haven't even heard my wolf before. Which was unusual for the Alpha's and Luna's kid. I wish I did hear my wolf speak, then I wouldn't be so lonely anymore.
