Chapter 24: The Traitor Is Revealed

"Waverly," Solo murmured under his breath, still in disbelief that the commander of their mission was sitting in front of them calmly, and presenting himself as the traitor who had landed them into serious danger several times already. It seemed impossible to the undercover agents.

Waverly smiled devilishly up at them. "Good morning, agents." He announced, showing them a clock.

2:03am

Illya was about to launch himself at Waverly. "You double-crossing son of a..."

"Now Mr Kuryakin," Waverly calmly put up his hand as if a huge Russian agent wasn't about to pummel him with his fists. "There's something you should see before you attempt to kill me."

Suddenly, ten men surrounded the spies, all of them clothed in black one-piece suits and hoods covering their faces. They were aiming huge snipers at them, and they were ready to shoot. Waverly stood up from his chair and took the notebook on the desk. "Follow me."

As the agents moved, the ten men followed, half of them putting down their guns, but the other half still pointed them simultaneously at the agents.

"Oh," Waverly turned around and looked at his men. "Grab their guns."

Two of the hooded rebel men grabbed the guns and pocketed them. Solo could see their disgusting grins through their masks. He glared at them and turned his attention on Waverly. "What do you want from us?"

"Good question, Mr Solo." Waverly smiled and led them through the warehouse. "As you can see, we've made quite the rebel HQ here." Waverly pointed around at the machines. "And the torture methods..."

Illya growled and could only be held back by both Solo and Simona. "Where's Gaby?"

"Oh, Miss Teller?" Waverly laughed, cocking his head back. "I'm afraid she hasn't been quite useful yet..."
