"I wonder if you will move in with me one day," Louis spoke and walked into the room with a tray of food which he set on the bedside table next to Melanie after he pressed a soft kiss to her lips. "Here's your breakfast, by the way. Are you feeling any better?"

"I think I'm hallucinating," Melanie sighed and squinted her eyes, "or did you actually just say you'd move in with me one day?"

"I did," Louis chuckled, trying to hide his nervousness. He put his palm to Melanie's forehead and frowned as he quickly pulled away. "I'm gonna call my doctor, okay? Your fever is really high and I don't want you to stay in bed all the time. I don't like seeing you so sick."

"Okay," Melanie sighed and turned around as to stuff her red and hot cheeks into the pillow. Even though she had slept twenty hours within the last twenty-four hours, she was still tired as fuck and it didn't seem to help against her fever. She didn't know where she had caught this, but at the moment she didn't really care as long as she would get healthy again.

"Thank you," she heard Louis say before he sat down at the bed again. "The doc will be here in max fifteen minutes, yeah? I won't leave you in the meantime. Do you need anything else? Another cup of tea?"

"'m so tired," she mumbled and sighed again. Even talking required way too much energy and since she'd been asleep most of the day, she couldn't even eat and take in some energy. To describe her as tired was probably even an understatement in this case.

"You can sleep if you want to, 'til the doc comes if you don't mind us waking you up then again," Louis said quietly and rubbed her back soothingly. He hated seeing her like this because normally she would smile at him and be happy around him but now she could barely move. "Love you," he whispered and kissed her forehead carefully again as she drifted into sleep again.

...

Melanie blinked her eyes opened and needed a moment to take her surroundings in. What a strange dream.

It took her a while to remember everything that had happened in the dream - she was sick, obviously with a high fever and Louis was taking care of her and kissing her and speaking of moving in together, as if they had been together for a long time now. The way he'd taken care of her in her dream made Melanie's head spin a little and her stomach do a little turn.

To be perfectly frank, she had had a lot of dreams of Louis and her in this week where he was gone and all of them consisted of them being all in love and cute and couple-y together. It was sort of awkward considering everything that happened...

The dreams all took place in some flat Melanie felt familiar with, yet she didn't know it so she assumed it was a) a creation of her mind or b) Louis's actual flat, which meant she was remembering something. She just couldn't imagine that those dreams could be real because she and Louis weren't... like that. Were they?

It was all just so confusing. If she could just regain her memory already! She knew many things again - she remembered her best friend, Tamara, who'd been more than delighted to hear she had regained her memory, even though she couldn't remember everything about the Finnish girl - but she knew there were still missing parts and it drove her mad. If everyone would just tell her already! She hated waiting, seriously. Could there seriously be something so big that it could cause an aneurism? She felt like she knew the big things already - she had found out about Louis's job already and she hadn't made a fuss about it either.

Speaking of, she was also sort of mad at Louis for not telling her. She hadn't reacted to his calls and only replied to his messages shortly but it wasn't really him, she was also annoyed with her sister and father. They were still treating her like a little child, walking around on egg shells around her. She seriously couldn't wait for the moment where she'd finally regain her memory so everything was back to normal again.
