Blue Knight of Heart

Chapter Eight

    Liam and Ethan were waiting on the living area for Theola to come down. They both looked handsome in their semi formal attire. They were simply sitting on the sofa and yet it looked like a photo shoot for a high fashion magazine cover.

            “Why did you agree with Freya’s invitation, are you out of your mind? It is obvious that she is planning something.” Ethan asked as they waited for Theola.

            “I told you I’ll help you get closer to Theola, didn’t I. Going on a date with her would do just that. Besides, I don’t see any other way for the two of you to be intimately together. There’s a great chance that on this date you could show her your good qualities, then maybe you two could interact with each other without arguing for once.” That was only an excuse, but not entirely false. The other reason why he accepted Freya’s invitation was to make sure that his jagged vision would never come true. He must keep an eye on both Theola and Ethan at all times.

            “Why does she always have to be stubborn?” Ethan complained.

            “How did you fell for her? And if you really like her, why do you always have to argue and piss her off?” Liam asked casually.

            “I don’t know when or how it started, exactly. She was really close to Warren back then, every time we visit…” Ethan paused and looked at Liam.

            Liam knew that Ethan was being careful not to divulge any memories to Liam. Even Ethan was trying to protect him from the painful past. “Warren already explained everything, so it’s alright.”

            “I know.” Ethan said. “But still, I don’t think it would do any good to you.” Ethan sounded serious for a moment. “Anyway, whenever we visit I would see how close they are. They always talk about you. Maybe what made me fall for her was the fact that she really cared for you as her own brother, the fact that she was able to love someone so sincerely without anything in return touched me. One day I just realized that I like her. I guess I was simply acting childish, that’s why I always tease her and get on her nerves. I just didn’t want her to find out that I like her, and that was the only way that I could think of.”

            “Why didn’t you want her to know?”

            “Because she liked Warren. I sincerely wanted Warren to like her to. Warren never liked any woman, nor did he get into any relationships, because you are always his first priority. I though that if it was someone who loved you as much as he do, then he would fall for that person. But I guess I was the one who fell instead. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame you at all. I actually envy him on how dedicated he is to you. Sometimes I feel afraid that one day you would realize that you like Warren more than me.”

            ”Don’t talk like that. You are both important to me. You are my family. I feel so loved by the two of you, that’s why I want you to be happy. I would be the happiest if you two find the one woman who you would and would love you sincerely and purely. I think Theola is the one for you.” Liam said with a smile.

            “I feel the same way about her.” Ethan said then smiled. “It’s not just Warren that I want to find love, you also.” Liam smiled wryly at Ethan.

            Theola came walking down the stairs and caught Ethan’s attention almost instantly. She was wearing a white tube dress. It went well with her perfectly sculpted collarbone and slightly tanned skin. Her hair was let down.

            “She’s beautiful.” Liam told smiling at Ethan.

            “I know.” Ethan said as he stood up and walked towards the stairs. He reached his hand to Theola. Ethan assisted Theola in taking the last step like a gentleman. “You look wonderful.” He complemented Theola.
