BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
"Ughhhhhhhhh." My head starts to ache from the horrible sound coming from the small box on the bedside table. Eyes still closed, my long arm reaches for it and slams the button to shut it off. Today's the first day of school. A day where all students are invited into a prison of hell.
Perfect.
My legs regain movement and I slowly slide myself out of bed. The aching in my head has finally gone and my eyes flutter open to a bright light shining through my window.
"Fuck! I forgot to close the blinds again!"
I look over to the alarm clock and it reads 6:30am. Good, just enough time for an half an hour shower. I race to the bathroom and jump in the warm water that begins to run over my shivering body.
Half an hour later, I'm staring into my closet pulling out clothes and throwing them on the floor disagreeing with it. I finally find myself denim overalls with a blank black shirt to go under it. I slide into my famously used black boots and quickly scan myself over in the mirror. Damn I look hot! I glance at the clock and it reads 8:03am.
"Shit! Meant to be meeting the girls in 10!" I race down the stairs and go straight to the fruit bowl. I grab an apple and run straight out the door yelling goodbye to my parents.
Because school is just around the corner from home, I begin to walk at a fast pace. Running is too hard, especially when it's the first day of school. I end up at the front gates of the school within 5 minutes and scan the small crowds hanging outside the front door. I spot four familiar girls standing in a circle gossiping to each other by the front doors. I run towards them and yell "sup sluts!"
The girl with short brown hair spins around to face me. "MADDY! Where the hell have you been? I thought you died!"
Oh yeah, my name's Maddy if you didn't figure it out. I have dark blonde hair and dark brown eyes. I'm quite short and have broad shoulders from swimming. I started at quite a young age and haven't stopped since. I am pretty shy when I don't know someone but I will still talk to them if they acknowledge me, just out of respect. I love to read whenever I get the chance and I love to listen to any type of music. I'm very athletic and I am the captain of the swim team at school. Yeah I know, big deal. I am such a tomboy at heart but I like to fit in and will still dress like a girl. If someone pisses me off, I will bring out the bad ass attitude that hides within me. I'm also pretty passionate but I don't really like to reveal myself to people much. Especially boys.
"Calm down Edyn. I was just contemplating on whether school is actually compulsory."
Edyn's a beautiful girl but she sure is crazy. She has an average height you could say with short brown hair and light brown eyes. She has the most beautiful voice that sounds like angels have been sent from heaven. She's very affectionate yet doesn't have a boyfriend. Unfortunate I know because I'm stuck with it instead. She is very bubbly and outgoing, it makes me jealous sometimes. Edos is one of my best friends though and has been ever since we were little.
"We all know the only reason you turned up to this hell hole was because of me though," says the hazel eyed girl, whilst she is smirking profusely.
I roll my eyes but smile at her words. Abi is another one of my best friends who has grown up with me ever since we were little. She has been my next door neighbour for 16 years and to this day we still are neighbours. Abi is a sarcastic bitch but I love that about her. She can be quite hyperactive and funny and likes to say what's on her mind. Her makeup is literally always and I mean ALWAYS perfect. Jealous much? Yes, yes I am. She is very tall and slim and loves her animals. She owns two beautiful horses and has been riding them for pretty much her whole life. Her and I are in the same netball team and she loves to play her video games when she gets spare time.
