I was different. They were all the same. My name is Evie, well that's the name I chose, we all go by numbers, mine is 3. Around the age 13 I picked up the nickname Blaze, you'll see why soon. I go to Warp high and I am different. Everyone else wears white, I was given a black uniform, they didn't tell me why, we were told not to ask. There are 4 people out of 3000 who have black uniforms. We are all quite different from the others in white and from each other but we have three things in common, our intelligence is high above others, our bodies' durability is much better than anyone we've ever met and lastly, we love people with all our hearts, I think that's what makes us different. We go by names to set ourselves apart, as if the black uniforms don't do that enough, but also so we choose who we are, I think that's important. I'm Evie, she's Zelda, he's Hale and he's Zach and we are the outcasts, the others.

We wake up at 5am in our shared dormitory, 4 beds all perfectly made to military standards, a gun under our pillows, a duffle bag packed and ready in case we need to run. Our dorm is decorated for training, high ceilings with strong rafters, ropes hanging down to climb on, no AC or heater so we can acclimate easier to bad weather, ice cold showers and a treadmill. When we wake up we train together for 2 hours, then go to school for 8, we eat once a day before we sleep. We were told to train for 2 hours every morning when we turned 5, the exercises only got harder. We were never told why, we're the only ones who have to do this, maybe secret missions or something I don't know. We're all 16, except Hale who's 17 and the training started when we were 5. Hale is gorgeous, brown hair, 6 foot 4, chiseled features, and he has dark mysterious eyes. Zelda is blond, 5 foot 8, a slender girl with pale blue eyes. Zach, is Zach, a dirty blond messy boy, built like crazy, stronger than all of us, with eyes that just somehow make you comfortable. And then there's me I'm 5 foot 1, brown hair, hazel eyes, built but small.

I'm different though, my hair and eyes turn a sunny and fiery red sometimes, I don't know why. The group has seen it before, it freaked us all out when it first started happening, I was 13 then, someone bullied Zelda for being an outcast, I was pissed and ready to fight, after all I had been training for 8 years already and the rest of the school doesn't have any, but when I told Zelda that I'd defend her my hair started glowing a sunset orange red and my eyes matched. Needless to say, she freaked out and I did too, we told the boys ASAP and tried to get it to happen again but it wouldn't. Over the years it happened more often but recently it hasn't, we're all a little curious.
