We've been here for a week. Zelda working on her powers for the past few days learning to bend the ocean, feel it and control it, with little success. I have an idea but I've waited to use it because it's painful for Zelda. Our powers seem to be stimulated by emotional or physical pain. Since talking about Zach freezes her, I'm going to try physical pain instead and I don't know how it will end.
I walk over to her and hold both of her hands, interlacing our fingers and whisper to herB: I'm so sorry Z, I'm so sorry.
She gave me a worried look that quickly turned to shock and then pain as my eyes went red and then my veins and then my hands which were now burning her. She let out a scream and everyone turned to us, they were going to try to save her. They quickly were put to a halt when I put my foot down harshly into the sand and a ring of fire separated them from us. If we were to be separated it would be her doing. As she realized she wouldn't be saved and I wasn't stopping, I felt something in the energy between us change. And just like that I was hit with more force than I'd ever felt, this was a force of nature, a wet force of nature and an angry Zelda. I was hit laying with the air totally knocked out of me in the sand and as I looked up, I saw something that fully and truly scared me shitless. Zelda with ice blue eyes and veins and a wall of water to back her up. I yelled to her before she drowned me.
B: Zelda your powers! That's the only reason I did it!
Nothing changed, I felt me swept up into the water she was going to drown me. There was no release. Suddenly, I felt air full my lungs, I opened my eyes expecting to have been put down but there was still water around me and then I felt it. I heard his voice, Hale was with me somehow. I felt safe for a moment and my fire evaporate the water around me as I fell to the ground. This time when I looked up Zelda still hadn't stopped but she was contained by Hale who was controlling the air around her. I sat in awe. Hale and I always had a bond, a banter, but I never expected he'd loved me and somehow as the air had filled my lungs I knew he did. Slowly Zelda calmed in Hale's bubble and both stopped their powers.
B: Zelda I'm so sorry, you needed your powers though.
She looked hurt. As I looked her over I noticed she had no burn marks, instead the pain was emotional.
B: Zelda, you have no burns.
This turned her expression to disbelief. She looked down at her hands, as good as new.
Zelda: There's no burns.
Hale and I both looked at her cautiously, her face still covered in shock. I walked over cautiously and gently hugged her, she didn't hug back immediately and I went to let go but I then felt her arms slip around me.
Zelda: I forgive you.
H: So no ones even going to a knowledge the fact that I have powers now.His tone was sarcastic and Z and I both laughed at this, he rolled his eyes. I made eye contact with him and I felt it, the same love he saved me with. I would talk to him later that night.
