Chapter 16

(Normal P.O.V)
"Gray!" Lucy squealed through the kiss. She had her hands on his chest to try to push him off, but he wouldn't budge.

' I'm going to regret this..' Lucy thought. She raised her hand and slapped him, which caused him to grunt a bit.

After registering what happened, Gray stood up straight and looked at Lucy with a surprised look. "So it's true." He mumbled.

"You'd prefer his lyin' gay ass over me? Wow Dragneel, looks like you won her over. I don't know how, but you god damn did. I can't believe I was wrong." He said as he looked down at the floor. "What?" Lucy furrowed her eyebrows. "Wrong about what?"

"Did you.." she trailed off, jumping to a bunch of conclusions. "Did you really just say that?" She growled. "You make it sound like it was a bet or something."

Gray stayed silent for a moment, then finally said "Yes, it was." He said looking at Natsu with a smirk, a smirk Lucy didn't notice.

"He wanted to make a bet. $535,000 to see who you would fall for first. I agreed, but only to see him make a fool of himself. You can't really be mad at me though Lucille. Have I done anything to make you fall for me? No. I only had regular conversations with you. I didn't try anything on you and you know that. But he probably did." He muttered the last part.

Natsu's jaw dropped and his eyes were wide. He tried to speak, but he was absolutely speechless. Especially when he saw the look on her face.

She stepped back a bit, her face red. Before anyone else could say anything she ran off, too embarrassed and pissed off to stay any longer.

(Lucy's P.O.V)
I ran inside quickly and went in the bathroom. I shoved some girls out of the way, earning shouts, and locked myself in one of the stalls.

I looked down at my lap and my vision got blurry. "It was all a bet..?" I mumbled.

"I can't believe I actually listened to that jack ass." I whispered to myself. I covered my face with my hands.

"Why am I crying? I shouldn't be." I said as I wiped the tears away. Standing up, I fixed my dress and took deep breaths.

My phone vibrated and I realized I got a bunch of messages from Levy and Erza.

"Sorry guys, I got caught up with people." I said giving them a smile. I really didn't want to stay any longer so I quickly said, "Can we hurry up and leave though? I'm really tired and my feet are killing me." I said pretending to yawn.

Erza nodded, not bother to question anything. We all started heading towards the exit and walked out.

Erza then talked to a man and asked if he can bring the car. "It's so cold." Levy said. "Don't worry Levy-Chan. Look, the car is pulling up." I said.

But before we could step inside, I heard my name being shouted by the very person I didn't want to look at now.

Yeah it's short sorry ;-; but I still love ya all :D I might even update again tomorrow
